Confusing xD

Because people play at different times because of work/timezones/whatever?

It's simple. The average playtime for the people probably coincides with the times that you PvP, and you see a transition from the people playing at one time to another.

Yeah but I mean why are the one I battle at "x" time are better than the previous ones?

Curious what you been up to then lately? Just busy with work/school/relationships?

Also Mage class isn't as broken people think. I've raided with a few mages that were top 5 DPS, usually top 4 in Sunwell, pre-patch. I raided up to Felmyst with these 2 and they regularly pulled 2200-2400 DPS.

It just depends on the raid comp/awareness of the player I think. Average Mage yes, I agree were not up to par, or now after the patch with Lock. Rogue and Moonkin.

BTW in my current guild our top DPS has been a Moonkin, too bad a nerf is coming to them.

You should try raiding as a Shadow Priest, a supposed DPS class now since patch. I still only pull 1700 DPS in my gear. Our best geared SPriest with Sunflare and Gul'dan only pulls 1900. Its a shame that Blizz refuses to fix the SPriests and Mages.

Edit: I've considered quitting WoW for Warhammer, but now it looks like I will stay with this game. Found a decent guild and working on their new website atm.

About the horde losing against alliance, I have no explanation for that, but I do have 1 for the horde winning...

My point just has been proven so hard and rough (points at priam).

Horde people are older (FACT)
Meaning they got work/college/whatever before dinner time.

This is really the best explanation.

Alliance is young, they got school/college/and some work, until earlier.

I'll bring up my quotes again,
[SD]Twysta wrote:I can say, with all confidence, that horde generally is more skilled then alliance.

In PvP ways, in Age, and maturity all together.

Seriously, when I made the switch, I noticed the first day how much more experienced horde players really were, it surprised me really :)

Priam wrote:
[SD]Twysta wrote:True, it does indeed depend on which server. But I can garuantee you that most horde are defenitely a step above.

r.u.b.b.i.s.h.

And that coming from you. Dissapointing.

This is just the way it is. Just face it.

In almost every battlegroup, this is the way it is.

Now you got living proof of a raging ally pvper in our small community :)

Ask Foilin ;) He plays this game way longer then any of us, he can tell you.

Also, I just want to point out about my switch to the horde. I'm telling you when I made the switch I felt so much better. In the starting areas, I felt so extremely good being around those people, It's not like you discuss how you do a group of 3 mobs or more, you invite and just run in. You honestly don't see that on alliance.

Not to mention the people that are so bloody slow with everything they do.

Just make a character on the horde side and see what it's like :) Can always stick to your ally still, it's not like your work is lost. I have a lvl 70 and some alts on ally side still.

you best not assume Twysta. It makes an ass out of u and me. ;)

Seriously, it may be like that for American and European realms, but my time on the Oceanic realms has shown that both sides are pretty much equal. the only thing that screws us up is the American servers in our battlegroup. Sub-200 ping vs 400 average? Real fair.

Seriously, a lot of peopel I've met are older. My leveling guild had a mother and daughter in it. Most of the people in my current guild are older, in relationships and/or married. (we have one married couple who raid together) Most of the people I know, are older and experienced. And this is on the ALLY side.

Same thing Horde side too.

So don't stick stereotypes around. that's like saying Barrens chat is crap on all realms. I can state that Dreadmaul WASN'T full of the usual shit of the other realms. (haven't checked on my own realm)

Might be bringing it a bit harsh, but what you wrote there are typical examples of alliance people.

Married people, women, older :P

No it just depends on the server, community in general, not just faction.

I'm (alliance) on one of the oldest EU servers and everyone is experienced and acting mature.

My horde toons are on a newer different server and the people there are 50/50 immature retards.

In the same battlegroup my hordes are in we lose about 70% of all BGs inlcluding ab.

In the night it's not just older people that are online but generally more experienced people. I know 15 y/olds that raid tk+ and succeed.

Horde are mostly immature on my realm. And alliance are arragont aswell as immature. So horde is better 8) But of course, theres still a bucnh of guilds around with mature people in them, they all tend to stick together. saftey in numbers!

Anywho, the last day or so it seems 3/4 of people on trade chat think its funny to say "anal" followed by a random link to a skill. They just keep doing it over and over. Its even worse than the dirge spam! oh god, i would love for them to start doing dirge spam instead!

EDIT: also, anyone heard any news about the event? On the day the cure for the zombieness was found there was a blue post that said the event wasnt over. But nothing new has happened yet :|

Boomkin is fun...that is all.

Be nice is Starfall didn't get me raped by any mob in the 30 yard radius when I pop it to AOE shit down :(

And tbh, moonkins aren't really getting nerfed afaik. Just a bit of tweaking to reduce talent bloat. A slight change to one talent will reduce dps a bit, but free up talent points for elsewhere.
I'm in your posts, stealing your quotes.

Male undead warlock or female bloodelf warlock?

Having a real hard time making a choice :(

Both look great in endgame gear, I don't care for racials.

Because some might understand their characters and teamwork more then others?

So is it a coincidence that all the people that know how to play there character play at the same time?

Yes, complete coincidence unless they're all from the same realm in which case you're facing premades.

Horde on my realm are just as many childish dickheads as the alliance.

@Twysta about the starting horde area's.

I got to agree. I leveled with twysta there, the whole atmosphere was brilliant. Everyone was nice, helpfull, and most of the mages i met there actually knew how to spec, didnt stack spirit gear for mana (As if thats great), used the right spells, didn't ALWAYS use arcane explosion, etc.

For that matter, horde blew my alliance experiences away.

I took my pally to 32 only, but i've recently been more active on my horde UD mage again.

Depends on your playstyle more then anything. if you ever wanna do arenas, steer clear of a hunter because of LOS issues. (unless you're a masochist)
If you like long range pewpew, go the mage.
If you like being a backstabber, go the rogue.

As in all RPGs, there is no clearcut "best", you are what you make yourself. (although ret is OP right now but it's getting nerfed next patch)

I'd probably say you'd enjoy an Arms Warrior. 2H weapon DPS build. Being a warrior also gives you the option to gear and spec to tank (Protection) if you want to do that in PvE. (hough you can still DPS as a warrior, but most people instantly think warrior = tank)

On my realm people dont think a warrior is a tank, they wish a warrior was a tank but know theres only a 0.001% chance that he is.

Ok, i'm gonna give wow the chance untill WOTLK release. In the form of my female UD mage alt.

I'll then decide if it's worth it.

@ the last page of jibbah jabbuh.

I played an alliance, hated it. everyone in the starting zones had their heads soooo far up their asses they didn't know what the sun was. So i tried horde and here i am, addicted.. lol. As for PvP it has alot to do with the people you get, before there was welfare honor gear horde did amazing in pvp, simply because the nubs who had just dinged 70 in full greens immediately started farming honor and Farking their team over.. im sure it got even worse for alliance too, but that's just my exp. Also on the RP server's battlegroup pvp sucks, everyone is an idiot (No i don't RP, lol).
...

PS loving my Mage, got icelance and weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

you should use the recruit a friend to recruit yourself, and then use the 10day free trial to multibox your alt. You gain 3x exp when leveling with your "friend". I believe it also triples the amount of exp from quests! Dosnt stack with rested exp.

@Foilin: Yeah Durotar is THE best starting zone in the game tbh. All of my alts level up there, not matter what race they are. I even have a level 4 gnome mage currently sitting in durotar! lol.

3x EXP doesn't work with a trial account, has to upgrade for it to start.

Had a little discussion about this with a friend, we did it and I can't really remember if the triple XP works before lvl 20, on a trial account. I was of the opinion it does, but like I said I can't really remember correctly.

My guild seems to be really good. Worlds 18th on clearing naxx pre-tbc. Path of Wreckage. At the moment our guild is called Blight and it will change to Path of Wreckage the night before wotlk. Got my hopes high for it :)

Well, it was working for me :O looking at the exp you see something along the lines of gained 60exp (120 recruit-a-friend)

I might actually upgrade the account, it was kind of fun running around with 2 shamans. Buying one month on the "friend" account also gives you a free month on your main account. Blizzard dosnt mind people using the recruit a friend thing like this either apparently. Since they are getting money, they dont really care. I doubt id go for a second month if i did though. I dont wanna end up being one of those people multiboxing 36 chars :|

Hi

I just got my copy of WoW last weekend and started a Night Elf Warrior at Sporegarr. Currently lv16 questing at Darkshore, but I've been dying to the monsters listed to the quest? I've been spending on my talent points on Protection tree, 5 on the shield thing and another 2 on dodge. Am I doing it wrong?

Not really.

What level are the mobs? How many are you taking on at a time? what rotation/weapon are you using?
