BTW Expect the NA version to begin early 09 not 3-4 years from now. From my understanding there won't be a real beta but something like it. Any way like i said. Early 09 is when we'll be getting our taste.

Although the title for 23rd's press conference was 'Aion Global Launch Announcement', in reality launches over-seas will start at 2/3 month intervals after the Korean release.

"Within the next year we will have launched in China, North America/Europe, Japan and Taiwan, in that order. By 2010 Aion will also be present in Central/South America."

Still, Aions gonna be the only MMO I bother playing till B&S.

Expect bns to be released 3-4 years from now...that's a longggggg time.

Anyway if you're considering playing this game, speak english well, live in NA, choosing to go asmodian. Lemme know cause i'd love to have some familiar faces around me.

by bns, i meant Bland And Soul, another amazing mmo by ncsoft, they've only announced the title over the summer but it's only 30-40% done, so it will take a while to come out.

Don't you have a validate account for OB for aion KOREA XM? that's what i was referring too. Let me know if you were able to validate an account.

I don't see why this game is getting so much hype. It just looks like an upgraded version of Lineage 2 to me. NCSoft let the Lineage 2 servers get destroyed by the community so I expect Aion to head down the same path. I'll just wait for a good private server.

Don`t forget lineage2 had only 1 leak the c1 server no leaks after.
So don`t think aion will ever leak. And without that private server developement
will take ages.

He isn't talking about private servers, he's talking about the people (I think). In L2 they totally let the bots and idiots ruin the game. If you go on and vist Seighardt or Bartz today and walk into Giran, you would notice the areas where people would literally have hundreds of player stores open and selling to those awesome looking a and B grade players. Now you get one or two bots selling Bsps if you're lucky.

And is it different in private servers, I was running my l2walker chain next to a visibile gm and having a nice chat with him.
Server depended on my bots selling sps, oh and got to know the server admin, oh and got to use gm to double def/attack on my char to do raid solo ....

By the way was running my own servers original and l2j too, was good way to learn sql servers
and php.

All mmorpg reaching the time when it dies ksro did too .. just like isro will.

Want to be there in aion in the beginning when everything is new to most ppl, that is the most
fun like it was in sro and guildwars.

They've made the leveling pace extremely similar to WOW, w/ a max level of 50 as was previously stated. Endgame includes 24/7 Fortress/Raids and Stigma generation (don't know about gear upgrading though).

Gear upgrading is so awesome. You can keep low level gear and fix it to have the stats of high level gear if you really like the look of a certain set, making your character unique.

If they ip filter then no. Can run forced system proxy but will be slooow, and easy to detect on sever side.
If only need kssn then yes.
