Am I stuffing up my character?

Post by XxpeddyxX »

I'm an Int. person, but I have 66 points on Str. and 60 on Int. Am I doing something bad? I think 66 is enough Str. I'll add Int. from now on. Comments apriciated.

If you're planning on INT then a few points in STR certainly won't hurt. Having extra HP is a big plus, because INT users don't have much HP otherwise.

Yeah Banzai is right, having that extra STR doesn't hurt cause when you get to higher levels and they damage you for 200+ damage, with whatever little HP you have, you're dead.

If your Magic Balance is below 80%, I would restart the character personally.

well, he's only level 18. i'm sure that right now his magic balance is below 80%, but if he pumps nothing but INT it will eventually be fine. there's plenty of people that do 2:1 INT and in the end he'll have less STR and more INT than they will.

I've been pumping pure STR for most of my levels, and did INT for only 2 or 3 levels, and still haven't reached a 2:1 ratio on my stats.

well, it takes a few levels to even out, sure, but i did say eventually...

peddy's at 66 str and 60 int now, at lvl 18. if he pumps all str, he'll get to a perfect 2:1 ratio at level 54(assuming he doesn't go find +INT gear), when he'll have 102 STR and 204 INT.

if you go COMPLETELY pure from the beginning, it only takes until level 11 to get the same ratio, being 60/30 in stats.

now, shujaa, you said that you still aren't at a 2:1? well, as an example, if you put 5 whole levels into INT, completely neglcting STR, then decided to go pure str, it'll take until level 33 to get a 2:1 ratio, when you'll have 133/67

now, of course, all of this can be modded by what kind of gear you use. for example, i have about +15 STR just from my equip, so it helps alot on my attacks, HP, and everything else. i also have about +6 or so INT, just for the MP boost.

so it's very flexible, and just because you change your mind doesn't mean you have to completely start over.

Hm... I didn't know that about phys/magic balance. I was wondering why mine was still high on physical. <_<

I'll add Int for 10 levels and see how it works out. Considering that all my stuff's Garment. >.> The only reason I added Str was because I didn't want to take "too" much physical damage from certain monsters/players.

I hit 28 yesterday, and am just under being 2:1 now (be done in the next 2 or 3 levels), but like I said personally if I had to wait till level 54 to get the ratio I wanted I would rather restart :D
