Actually Mac hardware runs faster than PC hardware. There was a test with boot camp, the dual boot or virtualization thing(Dunno which it is), and Mac outperformed laptops running the programs native. If there is a Mac version expect speed boosts in comparison.

but the performance increase defiantly does not cost ~$1,000.

This would be true if you tried to use a 486 to run Vista.

I really like this redesign. One of the things that put me off from buying the current (or previous now?) MacBook Pro was that it looked too plain in my opinion. I might consider this one though. :D I want a laptop for work/art-related stuff.

Still though, $2.5k?! Does it come with a hooker? :l

Why are there tutorials HOW to right click on a Mac? That's sad.

You don't know if it sucks or not. You can't possibly base that arguement on anything. Just another loser jumping on the bandwagon making silly statements about nothing. /shoo. We allready have plenty of those.

You're just another loser jumping on the "Hey, I am a mac user, look how awesome my motherf*ucking mac shit looks." bandwagon. Also less QQ.

My point exactly.

Your not providing any insight what so ever on the subject, i'm doubting you even have any. Anyone can go around flaming people mindlessly, trying to look 'pro', but that hasn't worked since 1994.

I'm rooting for mac, hell yes I am, and for fairly obvious reasons, which I've also taken the time to state in this topic. Try doing the same, just leave the no right click thing out of it, cause frankly, that has proven you know nothing about the subject.

*sigh*

Right-clicking on a Mac USED to be Ctrl + click on mouse. This was because OLD Macs had 1-button mice which did not allow right-clicking. All the new Macs include the Mighty Mouse, which looks like its only one button, but it's really two buttons inside hidden in a solid white shell. Any regular 2-button mouse works fine though (you can right and left-click normally). I use the Logitech MX Revolution with my Mac though because of the extra buttons and scroll wheel.

Spoiler!

But then again, the right-clicking argument is a very old argument used by trolls. Just like the "no games for Macs" argument, or the "there are no programs for Macs" argument, and the usual "Mac sux" argument. Funny thing is, it's usually these very same people that have RocketDock and FlyAKite installed. amirite? ;D

Seriously though, it's just a computer. xD

When i wanted to buy my laptop a few weeks ago i was in dilemma of buying a 13" macbook or the laptop i now have ( 16,4" sony ) they both cost 999 euros, the only that kept me from the mac is the teeny tiny screen. My father has a Mac Pro and a Macbook Pro and i love them. It's just that apple is a bit overpriced for the things that you get. However i do love the simpleness of them, no wire clutter.

With the example posted on the last post of page 1, the PC laptop also had a bluray drive which cost about $200. Also you cud buy OSX for $110 and put it on your pc using osX86 project software.

It's not just about OSX. Spec-wise mac's are a bit behind on recent windows laptops, buit performance wise they're way ahead, which is what makes them so attractive for certain businesses.

Like mine, i'm a multimedia designer/marketer, i couldn't bare to go back to a windows laptop. OSX wise, but also when you take a peek at performance.

Explain please? If the Operating Software is not so important, and the hardware is behind then how can they be better?

No. no. What i mean was, it's not just the OSX, it's the combination, which allows macs with lesser specs, to outperform windows machines with better specs.
