yesterday i was trying to get a lvl 85 staff to +5. so i filled about two and a half pages of my inventory with weapon elixirs (about 80 or something) and started +ing.
problem is it ended up after i used all the 80 elixirs at +1 !
so i thought maybe the problem is with the staff itself, so i bought another one and tried another 80 elixirs ending up at +3...
note: i have premium plus and i tryed +ing the two staffs at different times during the same day.
so, is this normal ?!

I remeber reading somwere on sro site that each weapon has a percentage of success so the 2 weapons you tryed must of had a very low percentage of success rate.

I remeber having 2 weapons both the same, clean and non blued, one went to +5 for +0 with 5 elixirs and the other never went past +4 with 100+ elixirs. Some weapons are just made to not plus i guess.

Try to +1 about 3x without a lucky.....if it fail 3/3 times then it has a horrible luck

but to be honest alchemy is VERY unpredictable..there has been times when I +6 a weapon on 1st 2nd try then it fails to +3 after using about 30 elixirs

I spend more than 500 elixirs on 4 diferent xbows and nothing didnt make even +5. Later droped spear 6 elixirs +5 few hours later tryed new xbow 13 elixirs +5 failed for +6.
Im sure not evry item can be +5 +7, they have own luck.

I bought a sword with 3 immortals (nothing speacial, just put steady on it) because i wanna try it for +7 (and i don't wanna waste my own money, that's why i was searcing one with immortals)...
I am making it for... idk the last 3 weeks maybe? Idk how many elixirs i have waster, really... all that i get as a drop + a lot that friends give me...
So i have never made it to +5....
My BF managed to make it +6 with his acc,
another friend of mine is making it for the past 3 days and he failet too 3 times for +7...
Idk how they do it, but the thruth is i haven't passed +4 on it with my acc...
For the record - every fuse is with lucky powder, from 5 to 6 and 7 with lucky stone and i have prem + ....

I spent it all on alchemy just for fun.

Well, I remember i read in some alchemy tutorial that each item has its own % of success. If it's hard to go from +2 to +4 it will be even harder to go to +4, and so on. So if it's so difficult from the beginning, then don't upgrade that one and try a different one.

i did ask [GM]gargamel about that issue 2 years ago, he totaly denie that there is something like that, random luck is the key... success rate dont exsist

Premium does help a lot the extra 10% helps them not fail so much. When I've had premium I've thought it wasn't working but recently without prem I'm failing 10+ stones in a row etc. With you not getting +5, It's really hard 9D. I remember my 80 bow went +5 straight away, but my 85 took around 80 million first time I +5 it.

I then went for 7 and failed that around 6 times. The times I got +5 before going for 6, the amount of elixirs/gold varied each time. One time it took 110 million just to +5 (Yes my weapons success rate is abysmal) Eventually took around 600m to +7...

Now I'm a wizard too and trying to +5 my staff at the moment Gold is going down and down.

It is very hard but last night I made two +5s, an 85 spear and a euro ring. If you dont over due alchemy in between grind sessions I seem to have better luck.

idk, but maybe this is true..
the whole "every weapon has its success rate" thingy isnt so convincing. this staff im talking about got to +4 with 7 elixirs then failed to +5, then got to +4 AGAIN with 9 elixirs only, b4 failing to +5 once more.
this means its supposed to be pretty lucky, but then i kept using dozens of elixirs and failed to even get it from +3 to +4 again about 6-7 times on a row
seems pretty random to me, unless it has something to do with the time of the day or the server population.. etc.
oh and just for the record, im not a wizard. just doing this to sell the +5 staff. i got my lv 76,80 and 85 2H swords to +5 myself and used approx 60 elxirs to get each of them to +5, which is a good number. so i guess it has nothing to do with your character.. no such thing as a "lucky account" imo.
