My first time was in Jan-Feb (250 silk - pirate dress and a pet), and last time I bought 500 silk for farming issues only a month or two months ago.

But I somehow think Joymax doesn't ban non silk buyers w/o a reason. Even a slight modification of media.pk2 or a no-dc client is a potential risk.

My account is registered after SRO went official out of closed beta, and while I played on Venice I only bought one grab pet in 2006 I think (100-150 silk total), and I've had some big breaks since then, maybe 2-3 breaks, 4-5 months long.

Exactly. But your case doesn't work since you bought silk a couple of months ago. It just takes an active account free of silk to show that Joymax indeed doesn't ban players for the only reason of not buying silk.

Buying silk would still seem like a "guarantee" against getting a random ban, I hardly see any silk-buying botters getting banned. I don't recall seeing a silk-buying legit getting banned. Silkless bots, "legits" and/or legits on the other hand...

Of course it's rather impossible to tell whether the banned legits used modified clients. It can't really be proved either way. Only the banned person will probably know whether the ban was random or not. Either way, he'll say JM banned a legit. I'm not blaming anyone or defending anyone but I do consider buying some silk in case the banned legits (Baro, KS, now Easly) played 100% legitly which I'm inclined to believe.

You want evidence for Joymax banning legits? You're looking at the wrong place. There will always be a "doubt" that legits have been 100% legit and banned it seems. How about goldbots who buy silk? Like those ones at the ishades with pets? 0 of them were banned. They are using clientless = detectable supposedly. Its not just a theory, Joymax doesn't ban silk buyers.

Exactly what Argo said. You buy silk, you can bot, pk2 edit or whatever other stuff and no you wont be banned. When do they ban silk buyers who bot after being inactive. Fly is all about he was banned on Xian although he bought silk but I am sure he was banned after being inactive for a while like what happened to others.

You don't buy silk, you are on the risk of being banned for even having same ip range as a botter whether you can be banned for doing nothing is debatable but no one can be sure that NO jaymax doesnt do that because we all know how money hungry they r, even having this sort of double standards for silk and non-silk buyers is a total violation of F2P logo.

Yes I have account on Tibet which never bought silk and still not banned but does that prove anything? What i m sure of is a non-silk buyer is treated totally different from a silk buyer whether you like it or not

when i was banned, i had just gotten a sosun blade a week earlyer. i has a premium and was leveling 3 hours a day every day at generals trying to cap.

everyone is banned for a good reason. everyone on xian shared there accounts with one another in TE. 2 of those members were botters. on top of that the char was already banned and then unbanned a few months before for some dumb spawning monster scrolls rule. not sure the exact reason i got banned but there were plenty.

Fly was also the most known scammer on xian cuz in 70 cap we scammed and stripped all the sos weapons off all the known botters. the bug reports from the bots alone could of been enough to get a ban if they were send in large enough numbers.

well , iam prety sure that i was 100% clean from using any thing like loaders , no dc or w/e
my computer was 100% clean from that shit
the only one played my char was my brother and only from my laptop ( no IC's , no untrusted computers ... )
I didnt say I was banned for not buying silk , I just didnt know why in facking hell i was banned
ppl started to talk about random banning for non silk buyers, so I thoght maybe that was the reson , but I will never know..
Iam 100000000% sure it was not any thing about using programs , I knew for sure that if i got silks on my account joymax will never block my account but if I never charged silks they will block me asap so I was very cautious about this issue befor I was even blocked so why would I use any suspicious programs
you have no idea about it , sro was the only softwear instaled on that laptop + anti virus programs , and iam still using that laptop now , iam not even using it to surf the web , iam talking right now from a diff computer..
any way , i got my new char to lvl 78 now , and iam very lazy to play on it w/o prem cos iam farming and I dont have much gold so iam stalling most of the time
I dont care about wat other ppl think about my blocked account , but iam sure that I did a nice work by reaching that LvL w/o buying silk and I proved that I did it once and I can do it again by reaching lvl 78 in 18 days of prem time.
i would like to thank evry one that helped me especially Zendosama <3
