Fav. place?
Well, with my travels, I've seen many famous landmarks i.e. buildings etc.
Which is your favorite of all landmarks, world heritage listed landmarks etc.
Either one of the Seven Wonders of the World, or just regular World Heritage listed sites etc.
7 Wonders of the Natural World are:
Mt. Everest
Great Barrier Reef
Grand Canyon
Victoria Falls
Harbour at Rio De Janiero
Paricutin
Northern Lights
7 Ancient Wonders:
Great Pyramid of Giza
Hanging Gardens of Babylon
Statue of Zeus at Olympia
Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus
Colossus of Rhodes
Lighthouse of Alexandria
7 Wonders of the Medieval World:
Stonehenge
Colosseum
Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa
Great Wall of China
Porcelain Tower of Nanjing
Hagia Sophia
Leaning Tower of Pisa
There's too many world heritage listed places.
Also, which is your favorite building?
------------
Start with me ofc:
Wonders: Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon.
World Heritage Listed: Uluru National Park, and Great Barrier Reef again.
Building: Q1 (Worlds tallest residential building, until Burj Dubai is built) and the ex-Twin Towers / WTC's, also the Empire State Building.
You?
Edited for wingers and whiners.

Angkor Wat - Cambodia.
Its an entire city still intact. Similar to Rome.

Re: Fav. place?
Despite the landmarks i've seen, despite the famous buildings of my country i have visited.. i still find more joy sitting on my giant rock, in the car park near tafe. Simply sitting in the morning sun, reading a book and eating a yogo before a long day of studying. Bliss at its finest

Re: Fav. place?
@TC - your list of the seven wonders of the world are WAY wrong...maybe
do some reasearch first because they recently updated the list and you
are way off ok.

Golden Temple - India
Pompey - Italy
Athens - Greece
St Petersburg - Russia

Grand Canyon
Mount McKinley, Alaska
Bahamas; white sandy beaches, and WARM water
The Pyramids.
Taj Mahal.
Jerusalem, the old city.
Only been to the first three, but the others are places I'd like to go.

Re: Fav. place?
I have been many places, but I would love to see the Northern Lights
PS. Alittle off topic, but what is the Swedish (I believe) holiday where they send fire out into the lakes? I thought it was St. Lucy's day, or winersolstice, but I'm not sure...

Re: Fav. place?
I'm going to Egypt next week.
Actually already been there 2 times, but this time I'm going to see the pyramids.
I think it'll be nice, but nothing really too special. I'm not much of sightseeing person. I like nature though.
I'm primarily going there to snorkel. Getting my PADI this time around too.
