Resorts, cruises, and most stuff in Mexico/Caribbean aren't much more than "let's get drunk from arrival until departure". They're fine if you're of drinking age (most of those places have a 18-21 age requirement despite the local laws, just because tourists don't want to deal with kids) and if you go with a lot of friends your age.

If you're going with family, a significant other, or anything else you wouldn't go binge drinking with, i'd go either to Australia or Europe. I'd love to visit Scandinavia; but France should be the first place anyone visits if they haven't visited before.

What I love about European trips, is that it's affordable and easy to visit a couple countries during the stay, rather than one region of a country. For example, you could visit Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands rather than just visit Mexico.

Belgian fries (known as French but every Belgian KNOWS the truth) and mussels are very very good.

An other bonus is that you can visit a few countries if you wish, a little bit of France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, ...

Compared to any other major tourist country Australia just fails in comparison. I cant wait till i finish tafe so i can get out of this hole.

Lol actually not a bad idea. The weather is always around 75 degrees or more and it'll cost you about $100-$150 dollars for a 5-day stay in some island resorts (cruise included). Not to mention everything is cheap as hell. Just, please please please don't even think about staying the in city -- the place looks and smells like shit.

I didn't find France / Paris very romantic either. Italy imo was more Romantic. Paris was a bunch of people rushing around like mad people, gypsys loitering around the Arc De Triomphe and other famous landmarks in Paris. That is a generalised statement, however it was by no means romantic.
