Blarg!! stupid computer! accidently hit the backspace and lost my whole big critique. Moving on

I love the effects around the render, especially the left side, bubbly stuff - looks awesome. Your focal and your background don't really seem cohesive to me though. The focal and effects are nice and crispy and the background is very blurred and kind of stripey. Maybe if you smudged it a bit and added some shadows over there on the far left it would bring it more into rhythym. There is also a large white line on his left shoulder that looks out of place.

Without the background, I'd say 9/10.
