Chargeback problem

Ok first of all, my main account got 'hacked' into one day ago. Luckily i managed to change my password and email back before the hacker could. But i lost 700 silk that i had on that account since the hacker used up all the silk on spam globaling.

I though i was safe afterwards but as i try to log in now, it says that my account is blocked due to chargeback >.> which i did not do. Is there anyway for the hacker to do so? he/she could not have access to my paypal since it's a different password as well. Also, what can i do now? is there anyway i can email the joymax staff?

I really really don't want to lose this account, it is my main and i've been playing for 2+ years...it has my lvl 72 bower on venice, lvl 82 wizard on hera, and my new account on gaia.

(My venus 63 account and athens 63 account were safe)

I'm waiting on responses aswell, because this happened to me not a while ago on my friends account. He asked me to post this ^^

well im checking on paypal right now and it doesn't seem i got back my $70 back yet...so im not sure what the heck is going on....but i don't want to lose my two characters

i played hours and hours handgrinding them....

Honestly not sure what you could do, but like someone said in this thread, the guy probably charged silk to your account and then charged it back using his paypal.

Maybe he didn't like you? If your not going to any one of your other characters you should probably go to Venus. Seems like IceCrash will help you out...

Oh yeah. You should probably chargeback the Silk you bought too.

Maybe he didn't like you? If your not going to any one of your other characters you should probably go to Venus. Seems like IceCrash will help you out...

but why lol i had no enemies (apart from the bot population) that i can think of. and yea im definitely doing chargeback too now to get my money back.

i do like my 2h on venus but the parties died after i reached 63...i couldn't get into any general parties until 68ish so im stuck lol....unless i solo 4 lvls >.< but im so used to party play now

oh and if the hacker is reading this, i hope you burn in hell biatch.

PLvl a new one or something. You were going to start new on Gaia what's the difference of starting new on Venus instead? Of course you still have all that progress with your Warrior. Think about it because IMO Venus is a nice server to play on especially if you are an experienced party person.

If it's a lvl 71+ char, they could've ccfer it for free astrals and immortals without having to bot one up emselves

You don't need a 71+ chara to buy high lvl astral or immortal.

If the hacker/scammer bought silk with his own paypal then your screwed, Joymax will only unblock the account if the payment is given back by the paypal that charged it.

Paypal wont help you becuase its not your account, Sorry.

seems like u had an keylogger... or just gave out your info. there is no other way. If u do chargeback all your accounts used your paypal too will get banned also... be careful

But... didn't all the hacker's account, on which he charged silk, get banned? I read it somewhere (I think it was here) that if you charge back ALL of your accounts are banned. So he f*cked up his accounts also? Or did I miss understand something...

Nope... all accounts were silkcharged by a CCF paypal account... so he wont be so dumb and use his own paypal....

Nope... all accounts were silkcharged by a CCF paypal account... so he wont be so dumb and use his own paypal....

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm afraid that your whole account info is useless, perhaps you should create a new ID on SRO and use Click and Buy on it. Click and Buy works only on one ID, so if they hack your information you're sure that it will not be used on another account for buying silk. You can also enable the account verification, everytime that somethings happens on that account (adding silk, charge back) you'll receive a email with the info. And it's better to not give the names of your characters on forums, hackers find often the mail account used for creating an account with the help of forums. Or use a different email for your account and forums.

Just like Taelys stated. Create emails for different accounts with a random name, like ad9h93@gmail.com. Nobody will ever figure out the email. That's what I'm doing, to have the optimal account security.

might as well buy a new comp for each accoutn too incase 1 comp gets keylogged...

There are reasons why your mail should contain at least a few random characters. Even your real life friends may attempt to hack you, so if they can guess what you'd take for the mail, the random part... they can't ever figure it out, except you reveal the mail to them.
