So I find it amusing that most of you people here on SRF think Palin got owned by Obiden *that sounded funny*
But everyone I know on Facebook is saying that Palin was awesome and that she won.

Granted on past polls an overwhelming majority of you are voting for Obama so could this be another "Dems think they won and Republicans think they won scenario?"

Shes too stupid. Actually if you go back to those elections threads. People were supporting McCain most of the time. Until others showed him how much of a retard he is.(look at sig) Did you know that Palin made a bridge to no where? She dosent even know some Basic Civics terms. She is like a female Dick Chaney. Until last year, Sarah Palin never had a U.S. passport and never had left the country. She is basically clueless about the world.

Not having a passport doesn't make you clueless.

I'd like to point out that despite all the dems saying "PALIN HAS NO EXPERIENCE! She shouldn't be VP!" Palin actually probably has more experience then Obama and she's only in the number 2 spot! Obama is in the number 1 spot with the same/less experience then her!
Is it just me or is something wrong with that?!?

Yeah, because making a bridge to no where and never leaving Alaska is a lot of experience. Being a Governor of a small town that no one has ever heard of is a lot of experience. And when you talk about experience what experience does Palin have? And in what?

BTW Obama was in the senate for 8 years.

EDIT: she has experience but dosent know what a VP does?

Alaska is actually somewhat important. I know it's no New York or w/e but there's a bunch of army bases located in Alaska + If we do drill here and drill now sometime in the future *which we should* then Alaska will became wayyy more important then it is now.

And yeah Obama served as a member of the Senate for four years and former state legislator from Illinois
Thats pretty much it. He didn't serve for 8 years
Although you could also add that he was a "community organizer"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081003/ap_ ... fact_check

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama

So, 7 years in the State senate, and 4 years in Congress.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin

So, Palin has been governor 2 years, and city council/mayor for much longer. Vice presidency is considered a little less exposure than President which is what Obama is gunning for.

Yeesh, this is what I found in a total of 3 minutes googling. Let's all get our facts straight before we voice our opinion.

I think that Biden won all the way. Palin seemed to be falsely cheerful like she was trying to cover up her nervousness. why was she always smiling like that? it was serious business but she made it look like it was some sort of game to me. she kept dodging questions and y the heck does she keep saying maverick!!??

If you look at their education, there is only one choice too pick.

Obama / Biden =
Occidental College - two years.
Columbia University - B.A. political science with a specialization in international relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) magna cum laude
&
University of Delaware - B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Versus

McCain / Palin
United States Naval Academy - class rank 894 of 899
&
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in journalism

Mccain is technically < Bush in education. Why would you want this guy running the country?

Obama and Biden are both extremely smart and both understand the problems of our country.

1]Obama and Biden are both educated and 2]both understand the problems of our country.

1]Yes, agreed.
2]No, that is where I draw the line.
3]Education is not a measurement of political capabilities. Did all of America's presidents receive a "formal" education? A political leader, in America, needs a level head, trust in the people, and respect for the constitution. Presidents, when they first run, have no experience doing the job. The populace, the voting minority, does not want a leader; the voters cry out for a ruler. The founders would be the first to take up arms to put Bush and his cronies in prison for life; High crimes and treason should not be tolerated. Education or no education show me their votes; if they lack yeas and nays then show me their actions, and if their actions aren't good? The people should have made better choices. McBama is no option for me. The media does not represent my views, the media does not represent the views of "Main Street", and the government thinks the people are incapable of forming their own views; McCain, Obama? More of the same: More wars, more debt, more imperialism, more inflation, more nation building, more extortion, and more business cycles.

I didn't watch the debate so I have no opinion on the debate itself. If I did watch it I would probably raise the question of whether or not it could be considered a political debate; if it was anything like the Obama Vs. McCain one then I missed nothing important.

Basically Palin spoke in a similar manner as Obama did in the debate last week, and Biden spoke similar to how McCain did. This makes sense seeing as both Obama and Palin are younger and have little experience but want change. McCain and Biden speak similarly with less enthusiasm but with more clear cut answers. So one of each type on each ticket, it it interesting to see.

Nah. There were at least 2-3 times that Palin said something along the lines of: "I don't want to talk about [insert pressing issue here], what I want to talk about is [insert anecdote-about-Alaska-then-somehow-vaguely-tie-in-with-energy-so-that-people-have-no-idea-what-you-said-afterwards-but-conservatives-were-generally-impressed-with-it here]", while Obama was showed clear mastery of the topics presented in his debate. There is no doubt who was the most able pair in those debates. It was the pair that showed extensive knowledge, mastery, and debating prowess on every question asked during the debate. Obama and Biden (though I felt McCain did better in his debate than I was expecting. He discredited Obama quite effectively and is continuing to do so... I guess that's where the campaigns are soon to be headed).
McCain, he (Barack Obama) said, will soon "be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten."

palin showed the reach of her potential during the debate.

and I hate how mccain is running his campaign. Instead of trying to tell voters why he's good for them, all he's doing now is trying to attack obama. how ironic, such a childish decision for such an old man

they both fail and palin only did ok during the first 6 minutes or so of the debate after that, well she was Palin
