silk road vs runescape

I was waiten for this post lol
I played runescape for awhile,
but it's way too easy to level in that game.
I got 3 characters to level 60 in a week.
rediculous.
Unfortuneatley I can't seem to level worth crap on Silkroad.
poses quite the challenge.

Yeah too bad level 60 is a complet noob in runescape. Runescape is waaaaaaaaaaaaay harder to level than any other MMO ever. The only people who actually end up with level 126's have no lives. It takes years to get that high. So yeah, silkroad FTW!!!!

how can people compare a lowly boring game like runescape to a great detailed NON boring MMO like SRO? In Runescape u just lvl this and that...It has totally no thinking like silkroad where u have to think about ur build...

That is the most... BLAH! How is SRO NOT boring? 60 mil exp TNL. Each mob gives me .01. My quests give 5% and make me grind stuff that drops absolute shit, or has a spawn rate of 1 in 10 seconds. What is there to think about builds?

Lol, once again, EXACTLY, at least RS has variety. I want a MMO like oblivion XD with handcrafting your own weapons ingame and all that jazz.

Once we get the guild and triangular and eruos it'll be a lot better, but they do need more than just killing monsters, talking, killing people, repeat.

If you would combine SRO with Runescape, you would have a AWESOME game, it would easily knock WoW off of the #1 spot on xfire lol.
The graphics of silkroad,The pk system of runescape, the jobs of Silkroad, the skills of runescape. This way if you EVER get bored of grinding, you could go raise skills. Like alchemy in SRO, it would be awesome if it would be a skill you leveled. Like, lvl 1-10 Can only do lvl 1 elements, 11-20, lvl 2 elements, etc. It would make alchemy more fun (IMO).

RS sucks period. I didn't even get out of the tutorial before I closed the game. I love good graphics RS sucks horriby there. I'll take the good graphics reptetive quests and hard to enter servers before that web browser stick figure can't tell what your even doing game.

just to let u guys know RS is a never ending game....I mean once u reach lvl 126 (lvl cap) then u still have to do all the quest. Unless u somehow do all the quest including members version (which is really hard unless u devote hella hours into the game) then u "finish the game". But after that they just make a new quest every month making u like never finishing. I gotta admit i did have some fun times in Castle Wars though

No it's not hard. Are you joking? I did every quest currently out. It's probably one of the easiest aspects of the game, quests. It's much MUCH harder to level any skill to 99, because you have to have PATIENCE. This game indeed needs patience too, but only with the main thing of the game. FIGHTING. Anyone who calls RS boring and not this game has not gotten very far in either.

the only thing in rs that i liked were the quests. There was more 'fun' in them than reaching some quota a sro npc asks for.
i also heard something about castle wars and dueling which sounds cool, but i was never a member to actually experience it

ok i played runescape got pretty good too 76 combat or something, 75 mining, 69 smithing, 69 or 70 mage that kinda stuff. But kitary has a point--- mining and smithing just isnt that fun. Heres how I see it:
Runescape
1. Quests have much more variety than SRO.
2. Graphics arent very good.
3. Skills/jobs like mining fishing etc. are much more variety than SRO.
4. In Runescape, you either make money or you dont. I had a friend who played like 5 times as much as me and lvled tons of skills and whatnot, I just did some cheap merchanting and made like 1m in an hour easy on extremely low lvl skills required. In Runescape its easy to make money when all you need is brains and luck.
5. THE #1 REASON THAT SRO IS WAY BETTER THAN RUNESCAPE: F2P ON RUNESCAPE IS TOTALLY SCREWED. YOU CANT DO ANYTHING. Even when u get to be a member, I still believe that Runescape doesnt have the depth that Silkroad does. Not really very skilled fighting-- all you have to do is be a mage to dominate. Theres a ton of skills but they all take way too much time to become at all useful.
6. PvP system-- love it. Very nice but risks are very high and the big problem with it is higher lvls who think they can beat u, then find they cant can just run into lower lvl wilderness
Silkroad
1. Quests get very boring. They are always "Kill this, run here, do something" But they give a lot of xp etc. Point to Runescape.
2. Graphics are superior to Runescape in every way. I never was there to see 3-D graphics though (I dont think) so i wouldnt know. Point to Silkroad.
3. Jobs dont have as much variety but have much more to do with people. I like that. Point to Silkroad.
4. You can still make money, but skills like a high trader lvl arent as pointless (at least, once they update it to mean something) Point to Silkroad.
5. SILKROAD IS F2P AND THE GAME IS STILL FUN EVEN IF YOU DONT USE ANY MONEY. You can customize your char much more, and fighting is more fun. Point to Silkroad, though it deserves about 10.
6. Silkroad pvp is a bit more sly, but the fact that anyone can fight anyone has its ups and downs. Gives you a chance to learn something new from fighting high lvls. Slight advantage to Runescape.
Overall Silkroad is better IMO.

JUst take some guy with a bs story of 10 words and go out and kill random monsters.

Its pretty good for f2p player. Takes forever of suffering complete bs from them while they only concentrate on making member game better so u switch. It makes sense, but its why i left. Hell, archers werent even an option for f2p until a year after i started playing because of totally inferior equipment compared to the rest!!! Shows their care towards f2p players -.- And Stallowned, you have a point Silkroad doesnt have much depth either but as I said its f2p!!!!!!!! Also, the point of Runescape is supposed to be variety and depth but all the skills (at least for f2p) seemed to be exactly the same. You have a piece of equipment, you click on something, you watch out for random spawns. Youre not screwed over like in RS for f2p. I did like mining, but i think the fact that SRO job system has more to do with actual people rather than rocks is pretty cool IMO. Pking is only fun thing for f2p (cant do castle wars ) And thats spoiled by instant teleing and/or running away to lower wilderness. My humble opinion is that it is not as good as SRO.

RS Blows in every way possible except for it's quests which are truly more entertaining than the killing monsters and getting massive amounts of items quests of SRO, and guess what when you fight your arms move back and forth over and over again and the highest damage I've seen was a big whopping 37

I really think a lot of people's opinions are biased due to the graphics, and won't even give RS a chance because of it. Anything they find remotely boring after 10 minutes becomes "OMFG THIS IS THE GAYEST EVER" compared to let's say, SRO grinding where it's more like "Wow this is kinda boring."

Also SRO has that p2p aspect, but much more toned down. I think if you're willing to spend $30 for 300 silk for items, you can do $5 for a month. And basically the "Job System" is a mini-game with all things considered. You need to get to point B from point A, dodging thiefs and monsters, healing your transport, getting hunters to help. Besides that and the higher quality graphics, it's just another kill and loot game to me. Comparing RS f2p to SRO, of course SRO is much better. I think f2p is the most boring deal ever for RS. But saying every skill is the same can be said for the SRO job system. You get your equipment, click to move, watch out for random thief spawns. Technically you don't need another single player to be there (1* trades). And most RS mini games deal with people as well (Castle Wars, Pest Control). Now that I think about it, make the graphics about the same, SRO is a boring kill and loot game while RS is a boring train skills game.

Personal opinion : It's a good game gone bad. The graphics are outdated, the 3D isn't 3D, the community is tooo full of spammers, scammers and extremely rude people. Thats excluding all the botters.

Yea, I actually wasn't a CW fan either. But Pect Control is a new mini game, and I enjoyed that way more. You basically kill "pests" (monsters) and destroy the portals they come through. I would say I like the Job system and PC equally, just different reasons for it. And the RS chat system was crap, they couldn't figure out what to censor and what not to. Phone was actually censored for a while, same with words like whats and thats, when what's and that's were not. Weird stuff.
