He's not questioning them he's made a Topic in which we (The Members) can share funny jokes about Vegetarians. I laughed at his Joke because it tickled my funny bone. If you want to discuss whether this Topic is Politically Correct,i suggest you go make your own Topic.

I never said I was reporting him.. and not all people find something like this funny as its a sensitive subject. Like making fun of muslims.

Not all people in this thread are joking about their opinions about vegetarians either...

Not true at all. As omnivores, we go for whatever is readily available and meets our nutritional requirements. Meat is just as necessary in our diet as plants, and our digestive systems adapt over time to fit our diet. This is precisely why vegans can become sick after eating meat.

ThiefzV2 wrote:most of our anatomy are similar to herbivores, not carnivores.
It's true that we are closer to herbivores. This is reflected in the fact that a balanced human diet should contain three times as many plants as meat and animal products. Of course you can live off a vegan diet if you have access to all the foods and supplements you need, but the most efficient way for humans to get everything they need is through consuming animals.

ThiefzV2 wrote:meat is a posion, that people who eat meet get heart disease, cancer, diabetes, osteoperosis, and other degenerative disease.
All of these health risks are the result of an unbalanced diet and misleading food guidelines. Most Americans slack on fruits and vegetables, and the fact that fish and nuts are traditionally grouped with meat and poultry doesn't help at all.

Before I talk this is not flaming or ment to start flaming but seriously..

If god wanted us to eat meat why are all but 4 of our teeth designed similar to cows
which are best for eating vegetables ect..

If god wanted us to eat meat then why does it raise the cancer rate?

If god wanted us to eat meat then why is becoming vegan the single most effective thing
you can do to prevent global warming and many other environmental problems?

Once again, if he did then why are vegetarians on average 10-30% less fat?

Why do vegetarians/vegans have a lower chance of getting heart disease, diabetes, cancer, stroke, heart attack and other crappy things?

Just because someone offers something doesn't mean you have to take it, even if god said
it's good to eat animals or what ever.

Why are you so stupid you would get cut over someone beating their dog or cat when every time
you eat you funded someone to inflict ALOT more pain on a cow, pig, chicken ect..

Answer me those, maturely don't give me lame as answers I'd expect from a 10yr old.

Also think about this next time you have bacon
http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/iowa_pigfarm_abuse2

Go on youtube and look up "meet your meat"

Just because someone has a heart and chooses vegetarianism or veganism doesn't mean you
should put them down, least they stand up for what they believe and try to make a change.

now what is wrong with this thread??

oh yeah, I'm not in it and there is a lamediscussion going on.

I'll make it all clear:

Humans are Omnivores, we eat plants and meat.

Vegetarianism and Veganism is only a creation of the big rich and mighty west, just out of boredom.

It's purely natural to eat meat: it's natural to eat or be eaten. it's just that humans manage to stay alive by eating others first before getting eaten by others.

Being a vegeterian is fine, i'll say nothing about that.

But being a nerd, like ThiefZ, quoting one table to support him, ignoring the entire medical world when making claims like "People whom eat meat get cancer and a fuckload of other disseases!!" is kinda gay. And the table was incorrect to, the facts behind the design of our teeth go WAY further then 2 lines written in some excell sheet.

Like a lot of people said, and ThiefZ ignored them, it's all about having a balanced diet. plants or meat, who cares.

Meat doesn't kill, it's idiots like that.

Meat actually increases the rate of cancer growth.. And increase the
likely hood of other diseases, he isn't talking s**t. Know you stuff.

Vegan/Vegetarian isn't because we are bored, if you think so then you
obviously have the IQ of a moderately educated rock, it's because some
people believe that abuse of animals is unnecessary and wrong, therefor
some people don't want to support it..

It's ridiculous how people are so disrespectful to others just because
they have different values and ideals, I mean vegetarians and vegans are obviously not hurting you. If anything making life better for you..
By reducing green house gases and what not.

I've got my ideals, you've got yours.. Don't be jerks and accept the
fact not everyone wants to be exactly like you.. That's my opinion..

@ above, I sincerely hope your entire rant wasn't aimed at me, cause most of it didn't match my post at all.

Anyways, for meat to increase the growthrate of cancer, you'd have to have it allready. Where i was merely pointing out that eating meat, doesn't make you more likely to get cancer.

And meat won't increase the likelyhood of other disseases standalone. There would have to be something wrong with the meat, or your diet, to pose a real threat. There's always an 'if'. It's all documented.

Ofcourse assuming all is prepared well, burned to the bone isn't healthy at all. Most people won't eat it when it's burned like that.

Learn to read, before using words converted to **'s on this forum.

Furthermore, being a vegetarian or veganist isn't bad at all. I just think some people, don't know enough about it to make it work. I'm referring to the cases of parent effectively making there children ill to the point of no return, cause they're variation on a vegan diet sucks.

My whole rant wasn't about your post. Only the first paragraph..
The rest were aimed at posts before yours. Yeah you would have
to already have it but still, people on vegetarian/vegan diets
are less likely to have certain disease and such. Also generally
have less fat, plus we don't need to drink as much water :P

Vegetarian/Vegan diets can be great for the you, they can also be
bad if you uneducated and eat poorly.. Same with a "normal" diet.
But still if you eat right as a vegetarian or vegan chances are
your gonna be healthier.

It's not only good for your body and the animals.. It's also great
thing to do if your concerned about the environment. Like I said
before (I think I did) becoming vegan is the single most effective
way 1 person can reduce climate change. Animals used for food produce
more green house gases than every car, train, bus, truck ect.. in
world, also the gases from animals is more destructive than what comes
from cars and all of that.. So please no one say "human problems come
first" because it would be helping to deal with "human problems"..
A big problem in my opinion.

But still don't get me wrong, live how you want. I'm not trying to
press my will but instead trying to put some facts out there to try
and make people think about it..

PS. Another fact.. If every meat eater gave up 10% of the meat they eat
and replaced it with vegetables then there would be enough food to feed
EVERY starving person, though there's the problem of transportation and
distribution but still fairly amazing if you ask me, a tiny sacrifice
for a insane amount of gain.

The reason why vegetarians annoy me is because they cannot shut up about how awesome they are. Just like religious fanatics, potheads, and Mac users.

DBH, almost everything from veganism to scientology has been made up from boredom.

If the people who came up with it had more on their hands those would both not excist, and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

People use everything from animals. Wool, meat, skin, organs, bones, everything gets used.

Don't start bitching around because some animals die for us, some other animals die for other animals too.

I don't hate vegetarians, but if you start bitching and moaning about shit I don't care anymore.

As humans most of us are naturally selfish. In some form or another we are all selfish. I believe the point was that "if" meat eaters would give up 10% of the meat that they consumed that it would be able to feed every starving person... You also have the complcation of getting the food to these starving people, but the idea is amazing. I most certaintly stand by it. The concept of it solving world hunger is quite a spectacular thing.

The problem with world hunger isn't producing enough food, it's getting that food to the people who need it. Drop food in Africa or North Korea, and you can be assured that it will end up in the hands of the local military regime.

Agreed. As difficult as it would be to have the task of world hunger solved. I belivie that this is only one way that it could be solved amoungst the many other ways as well. However this method has two up sides to it. One you as a person should more then likley become healthier due to a Vegetarian diet. Plus you also have the added bouns of knowing that you may had just feed one person that was starving and about die. I think it's a win win situation. However this is just my understanding on this subject.

of course its a fact. look at the pictures of the north korean army or the african army. they are all skinny and bones showing. the military wouldn't seize the food if there are enuf to go round... obviously... dont know why people make ignorant argument like that without thinking.

if theres enuf food they wouldn't care seizing food.. that'd be stupid and waste of time

This thread is funny. I especially like the uneducated comments.

Military regime = people in power. Power corrupts. That's why they take the food. Enough or not, they take it because they can.

They would also take TV's if we sent them a million TV sets. Or computers. Or books. If it is valuable to someone, they may take it.

Anyway. Sorry to hear we don't agree. It's why we have variety in our diet. And this stuff about cancer from meat? ROFL.
