Battle Bard/Cleric

Well I looked up on bobtheveg and with all the skills I NEED and that will help me out in group parties, it comes out to 643k sp which isn't bad at all. I was wondering though, what would be better for this build?

-Robe-

Pros - 20% MP Consumption, 20% Speed, High Mag defense.

Cons - Bard can heal MP, Bard has high speed, Lacks Phy defense.

-Light Armor-

Pros - Moderate Physical and Magical Defense. 10% MP Consumption, 10% Speed

Cons- UGLY! LOL, well that and the fact that I lose out on 10% MP and Speed.

Also, if I was to come back to Venus, is there any way I can join Ong plevels at least so I can get my cleric skills to 40 FF and Bard to 40 FF? So from there on at least i'll have 40 cleric skills which should be enough for me to level using bard in group pt's and solo as well.

I'd like Guardia's advice as well as others!

BTW how much damage does a 90 FF Pimped Bard does to a Chaser?

Robe all the way. You haven't posted there, but robes gives better heals while ligth armor gives better buffs. If you are that build, I really suggest you go robe. better heals -> better buffs.

female char-> LA isnt bad minus head, get a crown.

go LA. with bard, you have over 36k mp with passives i think.
just cast mana cycle before pvp start, or mana orbit. Faster cast. You wont run out of mp much even in LA. In parties you'll have a bard so mp wont be an issue.

in pvp, orbit cast every time you are running out of MP and switch back, it'll keep your MP max for 16 seconds. If you cant cast orbit cast cycle, but you need to self click. Use and disruptive skills you have. Its a much better euro killer than it is a chinese killer. Offering will be your friend vs. glaives. Use the harp bind, then the cleric bind and offer. GG.

I never knew robes helped heal better. I always thought it was all about magical reflect thing. Btw, cleric will be my sub, not my main. Here would be my PvP scenario:

Start with the harp and use Mana Orbit, then switch to the shield and Cleric Rod (with armor for the passives or what not that increase your phy and mag def.) and Use Holy Recovery Division, Holy Word followed by Bless Spell and then healing cycle. Then I would Use the bind skill followed by both of the absolute damage skills which adds up to a total of ~15k attack power. Then switch to bard and use Mana Orbit, followed by both of the bard attacks and the attack that is all around you or what not. Would that work?

Faith passive makes you heal a bit more with skills which are not strong (Healing Division, each cicle of healing cicle).

As I stated before. I will use Bard as my MAIN. Meaning I would not need to heal as much and Im pretty sure that with LA my heals would still be enough to keep the party alive right? In case I do become the cleric of the party. Please someone with knowledge of this help me out.

I usually do between 20-25k per shot, but I usually get off 2-3 shots for every wizzies one.

Well I am this build. I have been in LA from lvl 2x on. with the Cleric Charity buffs it give you extra STR and INT buffs when you where LA.

That sequence sounds good but you realize it will take you about 1.5-2 min to cast all those buffs on yourself. in order to cast mana orbit on yourself you need to be lvl 90. long way off almost a year to get there for most people. Either way, mana cycle plus all those buffs.. all it takes is 1 strong nuke from a wiz and you are dead. Or if you are PVPing a Tank they will keep knocking you down while you are buffing. You will be to distracted to compleate you flow.

I highly recommend LA for this build. but to each there own

I'm actually curious to hear from any robes cleric how well they can tank a lure compared to la, i just switched to robes right before inspection and i'm curious if the extra healing makes up for it.

I originally had a cleric robes on pacific when euro came out but only got to like 32, and compared to that my la cleric on venus at these lvls were able to more easily tank thru giants and even solo ptcs. i'm curious how survivable is a robes cleric higher up

U die more. Considering going LA Cleric/Wiz just to die less often but then will eat so much more mana. Shield helps and using the 10% movement bonus to runaway works, just have to run in circles while trying to heal until a war figures it out.

I'm wearing LA as well, but that's also because I sometimes act as cleric in the party. I doubt a bard will be running out of MP, so for the MP usage you don't have to do it, but the extra healing and speed may come in handy at times. Still, I prefer LA, both for the clerical buffs and the survivability.

Well I am bard cleric (full int) and almost always play in party... Yes normaly if tankers screw up I have to make some fast moves like bless or order my wolf to attack agro mob while I step aside... But yes, I prefer the better heals, mana consumption and speed (mana consumption will be important when ALL party is agroing and you need to heal like madness!)

Is not that I have try to use ligth armor, I just think that overall the robe is better for my style of playing

I can tank quite well, as good as i could with LA but then again my robes are much better than my la was. I enjoy playing with robe much more than LA, much easier aswell i find. But.. i am hybrid, if your pure int LA would surely be best.
