How many drops of water u can put in an empty bottle, knowing that the volume of the bottle is 500 cL, and the volume of drop is 1 mL?

More than 5000. We can't know for sure. Water bends in the shape of a bent surface, when it's located in a bottle with an open end. Knowing the bottle hole radius, and some formulas, you can probably figure out how many.

Re: ---- The ultimate MATH enigma thread! ----
quoting D2A from MSN:
So my answer is 1 drop too. Final answer.
also d2a told me that my previous answer in the river problem is right.
he said for a river with 4m width, the wood has to be at least about 3.77m for it to be possible to build a complete stable bridge.
since both plank are same length, he sed each has to be at least 3.77m long for the bridge to be engineerable. Since you claim the width of the river is 4m long. The number must be between 3.77m and 4m. 3m plank is too short and it will be a bridge to nowhere.
d2a already work out the math but if you dont believe him u can build a model to scale and you will see that you can't construct this; its too short.

you either mistype the number or left out the decimal places intentionally. either way my answer of "no solution" for the previous problem is correct cause we both know that d2a is never wrong since you know him too.
w00t... so I gain 2 points.. one for this and one for the previous one which you awarded to arxie for a total of 3?
btw did you remove the number after the decimal place from 3.XX to make it 3 even?
Death2U wrote:In real life, it will be a bit less than 5000 drops because of the cohesive intermolecular forces of a polar substance like water with weak hydrogen bonding acting on the glass, aka silicone dioxide, causing a concave shape. But given it's a riddle, it most likely won't require any knowledge of advance chemistry to compute, so my best guess is 1 drop since adding a drop no longer makes it empty lol?

Oh, my mistake, really. In the book, it's written 3.9m long.
And the solution of the last enigma is 1 drop. The question didnt ask u how many drops to add to fill the bottle, but only how many drop u can put in an empty bottle. I just added the volume to confuse u all kekeke

There are 3 black hats and 2 white hats. There is 3 ppl, very intelligent but 2 are normal and 1 blind. They close their eyes and we put a hat on each person's head, and they are not allowed to see what color is their hat.
The first person (not blind) open his eyes and look at 2 other ppl's hat. We ask the 1st person: can u tell what color is your hat? Answer is no.
Same with 2nd person (not blind), he cant guess the color of his hat after looking at 2 other ppl's hat.
The 3rd, a blind one. When we ask, he says YES! (and he give then a correct answer)
Q: How could the blind person is so sure about the correct answer?
Hint: require logic skill

so that means you take away the point you gave to arxie and award it to me for my correct answer of "no solution", which was proven by d2a, right?
so 1 point for the bridge question, 1 pt for the water drop question, and 1 point for the wall/carpet question... so i have 3 points.
who place am i in now? 1st? 2nd? 3rd?

I didnt say i discriminate him. I only advise him to let the fun stay longer. Unless u dont understand what does "soon" or "late" mean. I think i was very clear about that.
And i dont care if give or not give me the formula. Before i wanted, yes. But now, meaningless. It doesnt make the sky fall.

This is actually pretty easy.
I will label the people A B and C respectably.
A looks at B and C's hats. If B and C = white, A = black. But if A said he doesn't know his hat color than B + c =/= both white.
B looks at C's and A's hats with this knowledge in his mind. If the black mans hate is white, than his hat must equal black since B + c =/= both white. So thus the blind mans hate is not white, its black. When he sees C's black hat, theres no way to determine what color his own hat. Thus he must pass.
C realizes this and knows his hat is black. Simple.

I dont understand ur logic =)
Try to explain better, using logic expression.
A, B, C
black = 1
white = 0

In short, Blind man knows he has black hat since neither of the seeing guys see two white hats. If they did, they'd know they have a black hat.

My solution by working backward:

how do u know there is a black man in there?
whats up with people being racist

It has to be black, because if it's not, it's IMPOSSIBLE to know for the third person and this enigma wouldn't have a solution.

stop asking D2A ffs, it is a riddle thread, not a "ask D2A if he knows how to do this and that", if you dont know, let other ppl try........it doesnt make you look smart to quote D2A all the time
