They are looking for a lot of things, mostly to prove a couple of theories, like the string theory.

When the recreation happens they are hoping to find out what 95% of the universe is made up of. Soem people think it is dark matter.

Anyway, even if black holes are made a little man known as Steven Hawking says they will disperse is nano seconds radiating Hawking radiation.

BUT if a black hole is recorded that means that parts of string theory are correct. Since it is hard to make black holes with weak gravity, i.e. ours, if we do make some smalls ones that means the gravity is actually strong giving evidence of other dimensions and our gravity leaking into them.

Peace.

Had a giant rant about this earlier today.

If it actually "was" or even had the potential to destroy the world the UN would step in and stop it. Stop believing all the media propaganda blah blah blah.

+1, the UN pretty much has no power whatsoever. Especially since the Iraq behind the scenes bullshit the UN leader was found doing.

OT: I lol'd at the topic. Whatever happens happens. Hopefully it's cool ;)

One of the magnets under the Jura mountains failed. The collider depends on vacuum and supercooled magnets to eliminate energy loss due to resistance. The connection between two magnets failed (actually melted) and caused a "quench" - a leak of the liquid helium. As a result of the "quench" the temperature of 100 other magnets went up approximately 100C.

Scientists were heard to say, "Oh, drat. The end of the world is gonna be delayed at least two months now."

Oh, I dunno...
TimeSpace is an interesting concept, isn't it? Space, Gravity and Time are all linked together. We don't understand (and to date there is no way of knowing) what happens past the event horizon of a black hole. According to general relativity the initial state of the universe is conjectured to be a singularity.

Who's to say it will happen "fast"? The more gravity there is, the slower time is.
