Mod Please Lock. Thanks.

Post by Lord of Thieves »

Yeah, I know. Lots of these already :D

Anyway, I got bored so I'm going to make a bow.

I'm thinking about a pure str with 90pach/90fire/90light/30cold.

I plan on doing some FW, unique hunting, PvP, and obviously PvE.

Would this be the ideal bow build for that?

I know it can't be good at everything :P

(Or could it?)

Any help is always appreciated.

EDIT: I was thinking about a 70 70 with force, but I think its only good at like 76+ because of force and I don't know if I will take it that far :D

Best for PvP is probably force bow, but holy spell throws it off.

Your build is the typical build that 90% of archers are. Best damage, fast, low physical defense. MrFudge had a good thread about pure str builds at 90cap, and it was really good advice, I will edit this post in a sec.

Edit: 90pach/90fire/72cold/48light

You lose an insignificant amount of parry, and hardly any attack (if your pure str), and ice gives you Phy defense that you will need. The only downside is a loss in speed.

Yeah I had seen his argument before, but I guess I forgot about it :D Good point. Think I might go with that.

Reasons to go 48 light/72 cold as opposed to 90 cold or 90 light

*53% moving speed ( 73% with garms ). Considering you have range that speed is enough.
*15 meter grass walk, still quite effective.
*15% magical increase buff
*still around 120 phy increase from passive + shield of cold
*44% snow shield ( use when you have a bard, you can tank like crazy ) and 24% shield for 1v1
*decent cold imbue to fight non immune people ( comes in handy )
*much less sp
edit
*8000 hp ice wall, comes in handy when fighting warlocks

If you ask me the phy increase makes up for the loss of speed ( having 90 light ) and if viewing it from another perspective, the phy loss from not having 90 cold is made up by the magic increase, phantom and good speed.
