Who here makes hybrid characters by choice?

Most of the people i know that have hybrid characters made them because they didn't know about pure characters. But I'm just wondering if anyone actually wanted to make a hybrid. I think it's a good build.

my next char will be a hybrid spear. I havn't made a hybrid yet - and i hanv't made a pure int. My brother thinks hybrids aren't as good as a pure so im making one to prove him wrong.

Yup,

Thought mine trough. I wanted an int char, but not a char with so little HP as a pure int. So I decided to go 90% hybrid int. Best char I ever had. Beats my pure str blader big time.

That's 90% magical balance. which is being maintained by the stat points obviously.

90% INT spear here. I beat most STR players my level (60) and my masteries are 8 behind. Because I'm wearing armor until nachals, other INT players give me a hard time, farmed 60 nukers one-hit me. I'm still working on my gear, and if I can get better results from stamina and STR tablets I should be able to beat any STR character 59 and under on the server, and just about any STR character 60-63 who doesn't have GSM or crazy crit 13 +5 weapons.

I was a pure 1:1 hybrid until about 35, since then I have been going pure int and getting as much int 3 and above gear to bring my magical balance, since then my character has been much better then previously. If I ever start again I would do the same only wait until 25 before bringing my int up.

I deliberately set 2 on str and 1 on int since the very begging. I had been playing Diablo for a long time long ago and it had about the same system and a hybrid really pwned everything at that time.
Well now I'm lvl 45 and I've got enuogh MP so I'll continue with str 3 till I think I need more int.

Its some kind of service in mobile phones. Sort of system i guess, it's the standard in europe for example

but remmber being a hybrid is hard ,u need more brain cell then other pure build as all is the brain part that make us strong ,Building a hybrid but unsure ur strenght and weakness will kill urself

yes i made a hybrid just because pure chars are just too popular and i plan on being the PvP on my server. So far i already beat a few guys 3+ my lvl

after seeing a video of a hybrid KD nuker, i made my char hybrid, moving towards 85% mag balance. i'm still lvl 48, so if i find that 85% doesn't cut it, i can still make up for it. esp with the cap being raised soon...

im 90% int hybrid. without my gear im somewhere around 86% at lvl 42. good gear helps

hybrids definately rape pures.

i started out as a pure str glaiver, but decided to go int hybrid so im adding int all the way now.

since this is a hybrid thread, i'll ask my Q here. currently im using spear. i've been thinking of switching to sword bcos i pvp at times. i knw that sword has lesser mag dmg output, but will switching to sword now make lvling slower compared to spear? thanks.

spear = more damage = faster killing = more exp =)

however,

sword + shield = more defense = higher chances of staying out there = more kills = more exp =)

Ya how did you know that was not my 1st language, my 1 language is Chinese ,so please spare me for my bad English.

what i am trying to say is being a hybrid is hard because :

1.there alot of thinking process in it ,unlike pure str or pure int just nuke all the way ,so if u wan to be a nuker go be a pure int .

2. planning for a hybrid is the hardest part u had to take in alot of points like ur stats at every level, your master skills and who u are fighting with, there no hybrid who will just do solely nuke maybe u had some misconcept of a heavy int hybrid.

3. u had to face ppl who say hybrid sux, even thought u beat them hand down.

4. if u just plan to copy other people guide on hybrid build u are not a true hybrid

5. being a hybrid u had to know your strength and weakness against every other build in pvp

ok hope it clear up what i am trying to say

the thing ive seen is that hybrids have trouble with pur str bladers...

since pur ints barley have the ability to do enough damage to kill a blader... and hybrds
do even less damage... they have a hard time taking bladers down...

back on topic... i had a hybrid... he did very well aginst pur str (very very hard to kill bladers) but took down glaivers quite well... but full ints above my level had a field day with me...

fun character though

Im Hybrid by choice. The only STR chars that can beat me have at least 2lvls more them me.

I agree with Kitary about pure ints. Im at 6x and never saw a pure int without SoX items that was great at anything.

im a hybrid and i love it.. i have way more hp than a pure int and still have a high mag balance. 103 mag and 68 phy balance at lvl 57. my nukes diss out enough dmg to 1shot nukers 5 lvls above me. i've beaten a lot of str builds 3-5 lvls above me. hybrid nukers are the way to go if u build one right with good gear. +3-5 str & int & +hp on every item =one deadly nuker

I accidently made my char a str hybrid but im sorta happy with it because i seem to be pwning white mobs pretty fast

haha yea, nukers are an awesome build. Last night I beat a few lvl 20-22s at level 19 with only losing half my health. :roll:
