telnet/ftp

anyone know how i could open a telnet/ftp connection to a comp on my same network? its my other comp, dont worry not going to do anything illegal, but they both have the same ip addy since they're connected through a router(did a "whatsmyip" and they had same ip) so whenever i try to telnet or ftp the otehr comp it cant connect. anybody got a solution?
