Anyone remember the stuff with the arabic text on the "pants" of the hotan ferry ticket sellers?
Some Muslims complained about it being wrong or bad in Islamic terms, and JM removed / changed the texts.

You could be right, but wouldn't it be more appropriate to sacrifice to Demon Shaitan? Maybe the wing tribe and other birds are just his henchmen.
