from what i know rogues can solo well without any party and their not an important part of a party either they dont have any special ability like luring and etc. so can rogues still participate in partys with other euros?

Why not?
Well, most times it´s hard for a rogue, to find a grinding party, especially on high lvl where everyone just want to lvl fast, so wizards and clerics are needed, but rogues can participate in a party, too.
They cant use a luring skill like warcry, BUT a roue with xbow can lure mobs with fast shot, still good for luring, since it got a long shot range and is very fast.
The best thing u can do as a rogue, to lvl in a party is to paryty with ur friends, best tip for all.

Re: Rogues in partys?
what sucks about euros is the potion use delay if euros didnt had to wait 14 seconds to reuse a potion then they would be godly and wouldnt need a party

Re: Rogues in partys?
I don't understand why Rogues wouldn't be wanted at higher lvls. At my lvl, 35, I'm dealing DPS on par with wizards. 0.o

Re: Rogues in partys?
The reason being.. rogues dont have AoE skills therefore are nowhere near as useful as a wizz.
And they dont have buffs so they are nowhere near as effective as a warrior when luring.

Unless you party at the noob ongs/penons/cave.

rogues are effective just as much as warrior at luring and they do tons of dmg i can fast shot every mob and cause them damage on the way i dont need taunt to do that

they can get more mobs faster, people are just too used to a warrior luring, oh well its fine you can solo at awseome speeds with a good crossbow anyways

Re: Rogues in partys?
Well Rogues makes great luring and xbow helps with the wizz.
And use de subclass too.
Or you can tank the mobs and then wizz deals damage..

Re: Rogues in partys?
there is one thing i found disturbing about this post
that of inviting a rogue untill a wizard comes along
boot the chinese chars too, boot the bard, the warlock, the cleric
only the wizards and warriors are the best
what a noob thing to say
LOL
give me a rogue who knows how to play in a party any day
most wizards start using attacks that draw all the mobs close into the battle before the party is ready to take them on, instead of focusing on one mobs quickly, then moving onto the next with the party
this is how party members die
Take the rogue they work good, and are fast

Re: Rogues in partys?
All depends on the player behind the keyboard.
Rouges have two weapons of choice, xbows and daggers. Daggers have the best DPS in SRO, but they lack AOE attacks, thats why they are replaced with wizards. Xbows, are the best lurers in SRO, with thier fast shots and exremely long range, can lurer much better than a warrior, and much more from a great distance, but they lack something important, keeping aggro, unliked warriors, they taunt and that keeps that aggro on the mobs so it wont attack the damage dealers.
I have been in two different type of what i call "best parties", they are as follows:
Party 1:
- 2 Warriors.
- 1 Cleric.
- 1 Warlock.
- 2 Bards.
- 2 Wizards.
Which having bard tambours and dance, warriors buffs, cleric buffs, and warlock debuffs, logically the best party, but with experience, they are only good for party wars.
Party 2:
- 2 Warriors.
- 1 Cleric..
- 1 Warlock.
- 1 Rogue xbow.
- 3 Wizards.
Rogue help in luring while warriors taunt and take all the aggro, and simply the wizards nuke. The best PvE i been in.
What i wanna try is:
- 1 Warrior.
- 1 Cleric.
- 1 Warlock.
- 1 Rogue.
- 2 Bards.
- 2 Wizards.

You've missed the main thing about tanks.. their buffs. I cant imagine partying at chasers without me and the wizzes fenced.. it just wouldnt work. Thats why a rogue will never be as good as a tank.

I didnt miss that, and with enough aggro, no mobs will be attacking the wizards.

sorry i missed that. was concentrating on the first paragraph. but.. your wrong here, at a high level party (aka chasers), the main thing warriors do is lure, most of the time the wizzs tank as much ast the tanks.

Will never happen, rogue will just stop luring mobs.
Ohyeah, the lv60 taunt skill is pretty good if an xbow is luring. ;D
The xbow gets like 12 mobs after him or something, and when the mobs pass by the warrior he uses taunt skills and stuff ;D
The rogue will only take 3-4 hits if he doesnt know what he's doing.

Haven't tried this out yet, but seems great. The only thing I would change is to trade in the warlock for another wizard. In how many cases is the warlock usefull? Probably only with pt champion and pt giant. All the others are already dead or almost dead by the time the warlock has done his thing.
Oh yeah, and make sure the rogue has cleric sub. For in case the cleric dies, then the rogue is the best man to ress the cleric.
Re: Rogues in partys?
Never been in a APP with my rogue
that's why I made a warrior
when im bored of soloing with my rogue, I go Party with him...but atm only noob parties ^^;;
-Warrior tanking and saving butts/ressing
-2 wizs, my only friends that are at my warrior's lvl to party with him ._.
-rogue friend I just met, she does good support helping me lure and ressing my wiz friends in case they start attacking before I'm ready -.-;;
it would help if they had a fregging microphone
