Garment or Protector for Bladers

Post by XemnasXD »

which is better. Personally i've always been a man of asthetics and protector looks the best to me so i've always gone with it. But after comparing the stats in the garms and protector at lower lvls it just doesn't seem worth it to go protector. Garm phy def isn't that far off from protector phy def but has alot more Mag def. Does this change as you go up or would it always be best to just choose garment or bladers.

Physical defense numbers are generally non proportional to magical defense.. in a way. Or maybe the fact that physical damage is lower than magical damage makes Physical defense numbers lower than magical.. so don't compare them.

Garment is right.

Garms at lower levels. Saves MP, and the difference is barely noticable.

However, at higher levels, if your blader doesn't have ice, go protectors :)

What about if your blader has fairly high ice, like 60+
Would prot still be okay?

I've always used garms but I dunno. Stress and stuff know
more than me so listen to them ^^

Garment all the way . ice or no ice go garment .

i guess the protector w/o ice idea is best for bowers & may be glaviers .

When you sacrifice defense to be able to actually kill something, and wear garms on top of that, I think you start to feel that you're lacking ice.
EDIT:
To even scratch a warrior in heavy armor, you need extra damage. How are you going to get it if you don't use the shield skill? And, how exposed are you going to be afterwards? Very exposed, trust me.

depends on ur build, if u have low ice (60 and below) wear protector, high ice wear garments, bladers can be godly against any build in this cap if u have both sets and a high 20 block shield, a blader with only standard protector set and 16block shield can still die against an int spear hybrid and with only garments a blader can get caught out by a 2h warrior

it depends if your build is including ice at high lvl. if it does, go garms since lack of light will make u slow
