what are some skills that are completely ridiculous and no one should put points in them because they basically have little or no effect?

The poison cure one as well....

If cold isn't your main skill, most of the cold skills are useless, other then the shield ones

how strange , i use frostnova woods alot . its my best friend when being surrounded by agro mobs

but oow no , its usless .. right right

lemme gues , some lvl 70 told you cold is usless and pig could fly .. right ?

castle shield series in the bicheon tree.

"for the low low price of not being able to move or do anything, you too can increase your block ratio or absorb -part- of all physical attacks! of course, you WILL still take damage, and you won't block every time, but it also gives the added benefit of total immobility AND a slow MP drain. get yours today!"

The Shield Technique series under Bicheon tree is pretty much useless, because it immobilizes you, and you cannot attack either. The Fanning Spear Series of Heuksal has a similar effect. They are practically useless unless you are messing around, especially when you can be going on the offensive instead.

No it was actually what I read here. I was cold right up till lvl 25. Then I used the cursed quest and switched to lightning. now I used book 2 of lightning, and I love it.

And I was talking the imbue. I use the cold shield, and have tried to get it as high as possible. And my cold is lvl 29, as are the rest of my masteries. I am now lvl 35 and run a 6 lvl gap (keeping it till I hit 10k sp)

it dusnt people just dont know the diferance between a good pvp skill and a good pvm skill

trust me aoe attacks are your friend in some places , not for the killing power , but for the fact you can lure and drop multiple mobs with these skills making you actualy grind that much faster

lure mob with autum wind , lure other mob with other book of autum wind ,when you lure in mobs with autum wind the aoe effects will damage mobs around your char . (you know? the other mobs you lured onto you will get damage )
once all the mobs are all on you you finish em all off with a explosive arrow , . yeh , exp rain !!!

this also why int archers suck , couse thay dont have the hp to do this at higher lvl's, and well yeah cold archers might have a problem with freeze and all , but hey lightning and fire archers rule doing this

I'm an archer and I've tried this before. Works pretty okay at lvl 2x if you're using garment but not really worth how much you'll spend on hp pots if you do it beyond that unless you use good (sos?) prot or armor.

at lvl 20 you dont have multiple aoe skills , later you do , thay will drop faster
being str you will also have way more life later and bigger pots ,you make more money from drops , and heal more hp out of a single pot ,

pot gold is not a problem , it only is at some wat younger lvl's

kitary has some pretty good arguments, however the sp needed for autumn wind I would rather spend on anti devil, strong, berserker, the blue hawk, fire skills and grasswalk. A good example of its use would be on a giant when zerked in an aggor area. Lots of little guys pester you and you can kill them without directly targeting them using autumn and berserker arrow on the giant.

In a perfect world where I had alot more SP I'd be trying it out now (didn't like it at lower levels).

I didn't say lvl 20, i said, 2x. I did try gathering hyungo ghosts and mopping up with autumn wind and berserk arrow but as I said, it's not something you want to try on, lets say, Red-eyed Ghosts. Getting hit for close to 200 each in garment, getting 3 or 4 on you makes for preeeetty bad rapeage. So as I said, I think it'll only be viable in prot or armor.
