The Library
The Library
Does anyone go to the library for studying or just to chill? Im curious to see what kind of readers there are here, if any ... i hope. Like myself i like mystery books and fantasy books (like minotaurs and wizards and shit like that).

Re: The Library
I love libraries and the smell of old books but so far I haven't had the chance to actually SEE our university's library. I only go there to study, with the books I need already with me.

Re: The Library
I go to the library to study all the time. I usually read either non-fiction, fantasy, or books like Tom Clancy or Dale Brown, etc.

+1
I thought there wasn't people like me out there... Sniff*
Anywayz, for my opinion on the library, the branch near my home sucks, but theres this big branch in Downtown, too far away, but it is freakin huge.
I say its cool, saw some people in deer looking at pr0n -_-
But mainly, i wouldn't want to just go to the library and chill.

Re: The Library
I go to the Library alot, I usually don't bring books home with me but read them in the Library instead. That way there's pretty much no risk of damaging or losing the book, or forgetting to return it. I hate paying the fine when the books are returned too late. When the book I'm reading is very popular, I hide it in the shelves with the book nobody wants to read anyways so I don't have to be afraid someone else will take it when I'm gone.
Currently home: The Devine Comedy and two books about the Crusades. (All are late because I didn't had time to bring them back yet T-T)
Hidden at the Boring Books department: 1001 Nights

Re: The Library
Ive been to the library in my college about 10 times over 4 years, once at the beginning and the end of each year (thats mandatory) and then a few other times. Librarys are outdated, you can find whole books on the internet in pdf form now or the same information on a website. If the book is really old and isnt on the internet? Its probably to old to help me because its outdated. When youre dealing with computers you always need to be up to date.
Re: The Library
only scientific books...
if i have to read some fantas stories or sumin, it its just for school

Re: The Library
Love the library. The people you meet in there are so much more behaved than idiots on the sidewalk.
Re: The Library
I like the smell of new books.
I like to rad the fantasy sections of the library. I just love those books there always full of new ideas and peoples different views on the "magic" realm if such things existed. My favorite book is the Samurais Tale by Christian Hauugard ( something like that) It is a great book.

Re: The Library
reading is fun when you pick the right book. I go there to study because of the air conditioning they have and the resources too
