If you talk with her about your fears, and that way tell her you like her, but your afraid of this that and whatever.
There are very high chances she'll be very impressed with you > like you. That seems the best option to solve that out, since then you could both work something out between the other friend.. idk

imo tell her , i had same problem .. i kept hiding it .. we been friends since we were like 8 old .. till like 15 .. always liked her .. the way she looked at me , the way she speak .. but i never asked her out .. couple of people told me before she talks about me alot , but well .. i missed it .. cauze we went diffrent schools last year and i heard she going out with an old mate i know , who is super lame and stupid and ugly -.- but oh well .. dunno .. take ur chances , i always regret it .. try and get a yes u will be super happy , if no .. at least u knew that it wont be ..
