Spear vs Sword

at levels is sword stronger than spear? cause i pvp with my friend and he seems to own me i win 1:2 . i was just wondering. will spear own sword and shield when nukes come?

Spear does do more damage, the sword+shield combo only keeps you alive a bit longer. (not much though, only if you get allot of blocks.)

^ in saying that i was pvp'ing with my guild leader - he was 6 levels higher than me, he was using a spear and me with sword and shield - i blocked all his special moves - soul spear + ghost spear and i managed to beat him cause of those blocks.... w00t for sword and shield extra w00t for kd + stab

Shield is the great equalliser the extra defence lowers your damage , so your spear benefits of extra damage are lost, and than it turns the tide with block

Both.

Spear is fastest leveler.

Sword is good for PVP, jobs, and cave.

If you can tank the cave, spear still levels faster. If not, then sword.

Both are good in war, depending on style.

Lot of dual nukers use both.

Dont keep them in your inventory. Monkey instead. In case you die and drop.

Mainly why it's best for a pure int to go with the sword/shield combo. And for the hybrid nuker possible to go on with spear, all in the extra HP.

NO! You dont need weapon skills. Even if Heuksal passive is a must for ur build u dont need any bicheon skills to use Sword+Shield... just nuke... so, no!

i was gonna do both spear + b+s

then i used the sp calculator :shock:

but i think i might go up to lvl 33 in glaive, and farm at 42 still not sure yet :0

lvl faster with glaive ^_^

He wants ALL the force skills, and IF he lvl'ed bicheon and heuskal the same, gettings ONLY the NUKES and NO buffs, at lvl 50: Required SP: 53,856

As a pure str i needed 30k.

Pure int, sword or spear, oneshot each other when nukes comes (considering they wear armor to have a chance against str) at same lvl.
Or nuke+lion but anyway it's a very quick match.

The more I progress in lvl, the more time I spend on pvp, job war and the like.
If you intend to go sword, you will have to take the spear passive at higher lvl (45+) to stad a chance against glaives. Take the knockdown and stabs skills too they are very useful in 1vs1 situation, or when you are fighting 2+ people in close range.

All this need lots of SP and is not needed for pve. But for pvp there is no way you can avoid it.
I'm speaking here about real pvp, not stupid nukers that take a cape and nuke all lower lvls till they give up and go back to town ^^
