It's more symbolic rather than being a direct 'DO THIS FOR ME NOW' kind of thing.

For example it's symbolic in showing you how if you can resist what you CAN eat and what you need to survive, then you can easily resist what you shouldn't be doing/drinking/smoking etc.

Also it's meant to show you how those without food go throughout their days, and this goes along with the fact that you have to pay mandatory charity for the poor aswell during Ramadan.

I'm not a muslim, but I fast on a regular basis. I know what you're going through. When you feel like eating, focus on God (Allah) and it will fade away. Works for me

Yah I fast every now and then as well...only it's for a whole 24 hours ....but I do get to drink water so it's not all bad

one of my workmates is muslim, and today i was talking to this friend and i said the word "gay", and then the muslim was like "please, do not say bad words while Ramadan". Even tho gay it's not a bad word, i found that pretty cool, they're really into that. He's very religious guy and seems like the Ramadan turned him even more polite of what he already is.

GL with your fast to all those who participate. My mom used to fast but i never tried it, i don't eat alot as is i guess having 1 meal every 3 days is practically fasting (that was a rough period) but i know what its like to hungry to GL to you guys

God want us to fast to feel how the poor ppl that eat one time every 2 day,to give them help
your not muslim to understand that so please gtfo if your gonna post shits there,its easy to fast im 14year old and i fast and play soccer to and im not even hungry whole day soccer,im not weak even you just have to learn your not forced to fast in our religion but if you want to eat while ramadan,you better eat in your house because if ppl see you eating in ramadan they will take it bad eye on you, good luck to all our muslims brothers in the world
