Yea, newb just means someone new to the game. No bad or good connotation. However Noob means an idiot, or annoying player that is usually a beggar.

That word has no meaning anymore because everyone and their dead dogs use that word for everything. I could fart and be called a noob. I could buff my speed walk and be called a noob. The word is overused and no longer has any meaning. Every time I see that word used, I just wonder, "Where's a drunk driver, when I need one. Every time that word is used, the world gets a little dumber. Good hell what a shit word.

It's overused. No one in this game call others newbie anymore. When u just created a char and meet a high lvl player, u'll be called noob right away.
