I know a lot of stupid doctors.

Either way, you need to do your undergrad first and just make sure you follow the pre-med curriculum for whatever medical school you want to attend after your 2-4 years. One trick is to apply for bio and chem seperately, then when you announce any minors/majors you would pick the one you didn't get accepted to or decided not to pick. Because either way you're going to need to do both of those.

Sometimes it's harder to get into chem, or harder to get into bio, and this way you have a trick up your sleeve. You shouldn't need a recommendation letter or essay to get into a general science program, unless you're going to an ivyleague school, so I wouldn't worry about it until then.

If you're going to go to an ivyleague school then stuff like community service hours, experience, internships, etc. are all more important than the essay; you would be better to start building your dossier now.

One thing that's EXTREMELY important for any graduate/professional school is communication. If you want to get more than a bach, start typing in full sentences online and get used to writing properly.

Before you even think about going to med school (like law, accounting, journalism, etc.) you need to do your undergrad. The requirements change for every med school, but they all have a premed curriculum with required courses, those are the ones you're going to want to take while you're doing your doing your undergrad (undergrad = bachelors). Some of them will require you to do 2 years undergrad, while others will require you to finish and get your bachelors. After those 2-4 years, med school takes 3-4 years, but the final 1/2 or so is spent working in hospitals and clinics. Then, after your med school, you have to specialize in a field and this is called "residency", takes 2-7 years and you don't get paid that well during your residency. After all that, you can open up practice and do you what you want.

That's for Canada, I can only imagine it's really similar for the US. I'm not going into med, so puppet would probably be better at helping you with this. I'm going into law, so the steps are roughly the same. I'm completing my degree (5 years because of co-op) before moving onto law though, it will help me specialize.

worked like a charm for me. prices are reasonable too, depending on how "stuck" you are.

I had to write one for my undergrad enrollment. I remember asking one of my teachers to write me a recommendation letter as well, but then before Christmas break I got accepted (December 19th) - a full 3 months before anyone else in my cohort got any news and like 2 weeks after applying ^_^ it was my #1 choice and was supposed to let me slack my last year. I ended up never having any spares or easy courses because I wanted to add to my average for scholarships/bursaries.

Didn't need to write an application essay or get a recommendation letter.

you're lucky in your europe. the US universities has all this liberal arts and "well-roundedness" bull shit. all these required stuff that doesn't even pertain to your major.... i heard in europe, its just straight to your major in terms of courses?

if you're gonna write about that, side with evolution of course :D
all the universities are liberal as hell about that subject anyways, with a majority (and increasing) of professors and college faculty being secular and non-religious... especially in science and technology.

Best choice of my life. ALL the work you do in high school, its all worth it once you get to college, just dont go to a college because moma dukes told you to. You have to actually feel the school, trust me you will know when you get to the right school.

Kinda offtopic , but i live near UCF :) My 2 brothers and a few of my family members ( aunts and uncles ) went there also :D

OT: I'm still too young for college.
