long term goal: get my chinese to 100, fully farm Heuksal, Fire, Ice 60, light 40. full sosun protector set +6 with a sosun spear +9/11. Be undisputed as the best chinese on venus in pvp. Get #1 thief rank. Take the bandit fortress for Blade Drive out the last of the botters. w00t w00t

joymax designed the game wrong. they should of made imbue have a 150% or a 175%. This way every single str-int ratio would gain something while losing something else. atm with an imbue of 100%, any kind of str based hybrid is just fail. u lose hp, defence, and attack, and all u gain is mp. even int hybrids blow unless u stick very very close to pure.

i think the idea behind a hybrid is awesome. pure str lives the longest but does the lowest damage. pure int dies fast and kills fast. a personalized hybrid will live as long as you are comfortable with and will do as much damage as you require. bladers are awesome, but there killing power is frusterating sometimes. if all it took was 20 - 30 int more to give them that little edge, while taking off a little bit of hp, its a great concept.

and thats how the game SHOULD of been.

but reality is fail. hybrids lose twice as much as they gain. The imbue is the great equalizer when it comes to your ballance and the imbue % is too low to give hybrids a fighting chance.

Actually the 69:70 spear in protector doesn't lose as much as you think. I would go as far as saying it gains more than it loses. It really depends on your balance, masteries, and gear.

69:70 spear in armor with no fire will rape all str but get a very rude awakening against any int.
I was actually doing pros and cons of my build after completing some homework and I had a hard time finding any obvious disadvantages.
it's in my nature to defend my ideas.
This is an int Hybrid
40% snow shield (Pure str can pull max 23%)
24k hp (Pure str has 26k)
21k mp (Pure str has 12k)
Massive Magical Defense (Pure Int will have a difficult time killing it before being killed)
Moderately High Physical Defense (Good enough to stay alive)
High Damage
High DPS
KB
Stun
Dull
Immunity
Phantom
AoE

Switch Heuksal with Bicheon and this build becomes fail waiting to happen. Remove fire for maxed Ice+light and you lose damage, magical defense, Immunity, Higher Damage, and Snow Shield will have you running out of MP. When I planned this build I had one thing in mind: Balance. And let me tell you, balance in the right hands is awesomeness.

yeah it sounds really great on paper. but ask SG how his char turned out. Even with full blues and really good equipt, he was never a big pvp character. Sure he has a few noticeable kills, but everyone gets lucky.

Now compare that to his venus char. He is at south samarkand all day long pwning people. So its not his personality that kept him from being a great pvper on xian. It was the build.

And his xian build was almost 100% just like the one ur planning.

Why not switch to blade? The buff that gives you phy attack but reduces def would own.
