It's a religion. A religion is meant to believe in.

It's useless to discuss whether God does or does not exist. God exists in the hearts of those who believe in Him.

Our final and most certain answer to this everlasting discussion? Death.

I'm totally okay with people believing in a "high being" its not okay when I walk down the street and its pushed upon me by others. I lived a pious life for about 11-12 years. I went to church, catacism(spelling?), went to the confessional. I did what I did to not sin and be straight with god. At around 13 I started to think about what it all really was. I know that I was not influenced by an outside source on this, I never was really aloud to watch tv, and I didn't have the internet, or even really friends. It all made me think about what gods great plan was for everything. I started to think about everyone around me who believed blindly in a superior being had the world in the palm of his hand. My first thought was why would a god who was supposed to be the ultimate form of enlightenment have his creation worship him? Is that not simply a selfish thing? Was there no other way for us to be good people without fear of someone watching over us and threatening us with hell?

Eventually my musings led me down different planes of thought. I began to believe, and still do, that gods, worshiping, and the church, are simply an outdated cures for insecurity. No one knows what happens after death. So why not create an alternate reality where you can live as someone who was above others for things you looked down upon them for? You didn't do drugs, cheat on your wife, have pre-marital sex? Cool, your set! NO. That is ignorance. People used to not have any idea where the homo-sapian came from but as the world of science is growing and expanding light is beginning to be shed on our, well, beginnings. As more facts fall into place pro-creationists are fighting the evolution and the practices around it. Some go far as to damn scientists and pro-evolutionists.

As our world currently stands gods should be dying off as a thing of the past. People should be pushing away from blind faith and into a world fueled by knowledge. Sadly enough it isn't happening quickly, or arguably at all.

One thing that makes me absolutely livid though is fanatical religious followings. Things like damning tv, dancing, masturbation, the media, thats all totally overstepping the line of your own beliefs. **** them.

I honestly believe that with the world around us only a true fool would believe in a higher being. Religion is a great guide to live your life by, but to actually believe in it is sheer stupidity.

One thing I've wondered for a while is where did the miracles go? According to the bible miracles occurred before, during, and after Jesus' death. During these times "God" made his presence clear. It seems though that in our modern world, when we would seemingly need "God" most he has simply disappeared.

Science really is just a faith IMO, sure things seem like its backed up now, and it seems like fact.
But 500 years ago things in the bible were facts, which aren't accepted as facts now.
1500 years ago pagan gods and their stories were facts.

Now as humans have become a bit more intelligent, and a lot more ignorant ( ). We think we've become so wise as to say the lord is belief while science is 'backed up' truth. While in fact its a set of beliefs contemporarily believed to be 'facts'

The claims of faith are untestable and it is considered a virtue not to try to test them."
However It seems that the things are prooved by testable hypothesis now, but when our society moves our. We will see there is flaws in it, just like people see flaws in the worship of the past now.

Here's the story of Job

There was a very wealthy shepherd who lived in Uz called Job. Job was a very dedicated Christian, he was very well off, had many kids, every loved and respected him because of his dedication to the lord. Yet he remained the lords most humbled servant, never did he think great of himself, but only ever gave thanks to the lord.

One day Satan said to God "He only worships you because of the things you give him, if he you take it away he will soon forsake you"
God did not believe this, and they had a bet and Satan could do whatever he want with Job but not to hurt him.

One day one of Jobs slaves came rushing to Job and told him the wolves ate all the lamb and the other slaves have escaped. Job did not blame God, but praised him. Then all of Job's children fell sick and soon died. Job was very sad, but he did not blame God and he praised him for he knew all he had was given to him by God. Then soon all of Job's wealth was seized and his entire family died. Job was crushed, he'd lost everything in one day, and he begged for God's forgiveness. Soon Job's friends came and accused him of evil deeds, which he persisted innocence. his friends did not believe him and asked him to stop lying and confess. Job asked God
"Oh God, what have I done wrong? I have given 1/10 of my wealth to you, treated my cattle well, been benevolent to my servants, helped the people around me, what have I done wrong? Tell me so I can repent"
God had reminded Job of how he created Heaven, Earth and all the things on Earth
Then Job said "I know that you can do everything, and that no thought can be withheld from you. Therefore, I have spoken things that I did not understand. But now I have heard you and now I understand. "
God said to Job's friends, "You have not spoken the truth of me as Job has. Take seven bulls and seven rams and go to Job and offer them up for yourselves. Job will pray for you and I will accept his prayer for you. "
Fearing the wrath of God, the men did as God had told them.
God accepted Job's prayer and was very pleased with Job.
Then Job had twice as many things that were taken away from him by Satan, and his daughters were the most beautiful and he lived to 140 years of age and everyday he praised God

Nobody has ever taken a picture of one. No telescope has ever seen one. We believe they exist because we can measure the effect they have on things that we can see.

No person has ever touched a Supermassive Black Hole. We take the word of people that we respect. Observers (other than ourselves) tell us that they have never seen them but we believe their reports because we hold scientists in high regard.
