Alchemy

Post by luvmangamaniac »

I have never used alchemy xD (only buy my weapons)
but i want to soon when i reach 70+ 8)
And i have over 20 elixirs in my storage unused :D
and i dont know what to do, i mean i dont know what things people do to get there weapons +5 or something. (btw i cant use silk, i dont have a DC or CC  )
Is there any thing that people do to increase there luck or chances of getting success in alchemy?
P.S I'm not sure i explained it well :banghead:

Success with alchemy boils down to 2 things. One, how many elixirs you use and two, how lucky an item is because some items are luckier than others. The things people do to get weapons to +5 or higher are invest a large amount of elixirs, get lucky and do it on the first few tries, or a combination of both.

Lucky stones can be obtained by breaking items that have Lucky on them. The chances are pretty slim though but when you get one the selling price is pretty high. You can also get them from the CTF event.

lies. you can get it from any blue item 6D and up. But only common in 8d and 9d. Luck can be gained from any blue item but better chance with weps and more blues.

You may search for years, and never find a better explanation than this.

Some items constantly fail +2/3
While i have had some that have gone straight to +6/7 nearly every time

I believe there is a certain luck allocated to each item. I got a lvl 85 glaive with 1 immortal and 4 steady on it. It had never failed +3. So i got it to +5 pretty easy, and after it failed +6, 1 steady was gone. After that i couldnt get it back to +3. Strange

and Always use Lucky Powder with each + attempt.

don't add the lucky blue until you are +4 ideally and going for +5
would be a waste to use it up going from +2 to +3 lol

A + attempt from any number, 6 to 7 failing can take the item back to +0

once you reach +4 however you can add Astral - this prevents the +6 or whatever going below +4

To add Astral you 1st have to have Immortal on the item - this stops the item being completely destroyed for good on + attempts failing, usually over +5

If trying for greater that +5 - always add Steady - this stops a failed + adding a Red Durability perm reduce of a random% up to 99%

Blue Lucky works as follows (with a lucky powder still too):
if going from +4 to +5 succeeds on the Elixir + lucky powder - you keep the unused Lucky Blue

if going from +4 to +5 fails on the Elixir + lucky powder - you get a 2nd automatic attempt to make +5 and use up 1 Lucky Blue (without dropping back to +0 or +4) whether it then succeeds or not on this "2nd" attempt.

You only need 1 Steady, Immortal, Astral or Lucky blue at a time
But keep an eye on them to be sure they are not used up as you go...
These blues are only really worth adding once +4 is reached - Never add the Lucky blue until you need it as it will potentially be used up on any + attempt.

As some have said, some items are luckier than others:

I often +5 things with none of these blues on 1 to 3rd try - as they cost real $ (cept the Lucky and steady)

Yet my 76 SOS Ring took about 50 elixirs just to make +4 - damn thing kept failing +2 and +3 even lol

my 76 SOS Sword took 120+ Elixirs, 3 Astral, 1 Lucky just to make +5
Kept making +4 easy then failing +5 - a few different people had a go too...

tbh - 8th deg gear is Really cheap now since the new 90 cap (especially last set 8th)
Buy a cheap fully pimped weapon+5 for 15mil ish (am sure prices vary from server to server)
Will likely be cheaper than only adding +5 with current elixir values

Good Luck ^^

i once again wonder how the hell ppl do it, making +5's -_-'
i just bought all shield elixers in troy stall network once again (which is about two inventory's).
so, a min ago i tryd to +5 my level 80 shield once again, so far ive got it to +4 only once, in over 100 elixers ... how can ppl make a damn +5, or a +7, leaves alone+9.
i tryd everything ppl said xD drop it, pick it up, repair it, fail something else in between etc...
this happens to me with every item >.< not only this shield...
sooo, how :(?

EDIT: after this i let some friends try...
1 of them also failed a lot on the shield, and after a while he gave me this back "check image".
hard to accept >.< but damn ^^ friends
now i still dint make a +5, but i do have a +5 again ^__^
