Hello everyone, I was just wonderin' on the next thread I was gonna make. And I have played other MMO games (do not ask which ones). And I'd have to say I'm impressed with Silkroad. It's a good game, good graphics in compared to others, and nice stuff (skills, guilds, wars, etc.) But (I don't know why) I started to think about the other online games I have played in the past and quit, and I started comparing Silkroad with them. And I realized that there's a bunch of stuff I like, some stuff I don't like (no game is perfect lol), and imagining some good ideas for the game. I'll post everything I'd like to express in this here thread of mine, and if you guys want to post something... go ahead. Comment, express your ideas wide in the open, and mostly... post stuff you like and dislike of the game.

Things I like about the game...

Well this game has stuff like skills, wars, etc. While others where just like swinging your sword =.=' This game has better graphics than others I've played so far, and for a LONG time I enjoy seeing my char develop as time passes by. Other things to say is that I can see and entertain myself watching battles and I can pvp wherever to test my abilities in compared to others. Other games, dieing was like hell!!! And pvp was something that I could barely enjoy =/

Well... there's so many other things I enjoy about the game but I can't post every little thing I like about it -.-. What about you guys? What do you enjoy about this game?

The Trade System. Its so unique and enjoyable, never seen it in another game.

I dont like the fact that there are hoards of bots and lack of customer service.

Which is true, you don't see it anywhere. But there are some bad points. After lvl 40, there's no point in trading, as there are far more thiefs than hunters (Maybe not on every server), and without any good hunter you won't succeed.

i think each cape color should be a different lvl range. So blue could be 10-20 than red would be 20-30 and so on. I think this would be a good idea because than you wouldnt have annoying high lvls killing lower lvl players all day.

Serious? Most of the traders in my guild are 60+ and we do big trade parties with our own hunters so everyone benefits. Thats how trading is sopposed to be. Doing safe 1* runs when your under 40, isnt worth the time.

^ Yeah, that might be on Pacific, that's why I said it might be server depending. I guess Tibet got some high lvl hunters too but they're not on when I am. When I'm online and doing traders there are only thiefs, and some lonely traders.

Make invisible server sided please, fix the academy bug in the new servers, 9d honor weapons, get GM's that are active in the game, give us the high level job items, better quests and keep the level cap at 90 and work on adding new forts and stuff not related to leveling.

That is a pretty good idea.
But to add to that.
Also make a request pvp button.
So maybe if you have a higher level friend and you want to mess around with him you can still fight
... That would actually be a really good pvp system imo

Yeah .. and one universa cape, so all lvls can fight...

Dont you think guys that ... there someone should start a guild, that wears Red Cape (example) all the time... So that would make other guys start guilds that will wear only Blue cape (even during grinds and everything) ...

That would make "Horde vs Alliance" thing ... When I get to lv.90 I'll start a guild, where everyone will wear Blue cape 0/24 ... hope that will make other people do the same thing ...

Or that Server is devided on Red Cape and Blue Cape ... that would be interesting to see too.

no point on trading after lvl 40?...
any trade that is 1* is worthless imo...if you are going to trade make it 4-5* its not worth the time to do 1*...the payout is not worth it.
To be honest trading is boring if all you do is trade and killing NPC thief..the thrill of the trade is when you encounter thief around your lvl. and you manage to defend the trader....sure you might get rob sometimes but thats the risk u take,,,,sometimes it gets out of hand when trader has 3 outside ressers and thief have the same # of outside resser....then its just you kill/get kill/get ress/repeat till the trade slowly makes it to town or the thief slowly take some of the loot...we are the ones that abuse the trade system

It would be good if euro can wear items not depending on mastery. Sux for farming.

Get back old jobing system, yes it wasnt fair poping up 1* but those days were so fun and so much better than now.
I wanna switch to trader or hunter from time to time.

Make that cleric can ress party members, or something like that to stop jobless clerics from ruining jobing.

Double, heck, TRIPLE the exp rate FFS.
Double the drop rate for items.
Double the gold rate from monsters.
Oh, here is whats unique about this-

Only for party monsters. Do all this for party mobs.

Make it so when chines are in a party, they get a "party buff" initially, like an initial +30 or +40% value to all of their skills and imbues. And then, over time, every 15 min or so, +2-4% increase on this "party play" buffs for chinese only.

What will this do?

It will make it so that chinese can have a place in the party. They still won't match up to Euros in damage or anything, but for serious players who love partying and who love playing with others, a system like this can captivate players to play more and more, and as time goes by, they get closer to european damage and effectiveness standards. It gets funner, faster, more intense for chinese players- and european and chinese working together = win.

How can this work?

First, extend the party limit from 8 to 10 once you hit lvl 50. Then once you hit lvl 82 or 84, make it to 11 or 12.

And finally, this system would be perfect because it would eliminate powerleveling. It would be much funner and more effective to be a chinese OR european and fight party mobs with the Triple EXP and Double drop and gold changes to party mobs. Make this a game where you have a real choice between partying or soloing.

Not a game where legit can only be euro, and where botter is always chinese.

Anyone like this?

no cuz then what about euro buffs they would need a party to beat chinese and if chinese gets more party play what advantage does a euro have against a cinese. only damage, and thats not enough.

imho
chinesse need stronger buffs
euro have really strong buffs for each other, that way they rape in group pvp
but chinesse need stronger [not stronger than euros though] buffs so they can stand a chance or something

I hate that the quests aren't as enjoyable as I've seen in other games -.-'

Look, heres the thing... there are just a couple of type of quests in Silkroad:

-Killing (#?) mobs
-Getting (#?) items dropped by mob (?)
-Time quests, Unique mob quests, etc.

I mean... what's the fun in that?! The rewards are OK... even EXP, SP,, Gold, and sometimes weapons or scrolls.

Other quests I've seen are way better than Silkroad IMO... all of them have a PLOT. NPC's actually move to place to place... the quests can be like going through hidden areas in the game (caves, dungeons, killing this incredibly powerful quest mob, go all over the world... islands, under sea, the sky, collect items for certain things, etc.) And these quests would give you a unique item (like an armor, or weapon where you cannot get anywhere else, also access to this new place and MORE). You actually went in an adventure!!! I remember one time... this quest was so intense and amazing and difficult that I sweat through my feet like NUTS!!! Of course I didn't enjoy it at that moment I didn't like it. But if I think back... this makes it a good quest.

And the quest was enjoyable because there wasn't just one objective... but many more objective (some were a REAL challenge like capturing a criminal or really long quests, ACTUAL sequels with more exciting plots!). Some rewards actually gave you certain items and other people would be like "Wow... that's amazing..." and keep starring at you, some have special abilities, etc. Mobs in other games dropped unique items and rare ones too! Making you unique... in Silkroad... almost everyone's the same, no uniqueness and a BIG variety of NPC's you meet through out the game.

Wouldn't that be way better for the game? Oh and Joymax is just WAY to lazy... they just change the mob's color and say that's another mob :? :banghead: :x Also the item pic is repeated and represented for many other items :shock: :x and every legend in the game is repetitive (new cap, new skills, new armor, and so and so on...) REALLY annoys me!!! But I specially like it for it's various skills and stuff and there's many ways to develop your character (my fav part of any game is start it) other games... I didn't have the capacity to have a variation in char development (be a wizard, or a warrior, or a spear nuker, etc.) :)

The game could also need more community I mean... the game only has 5 cities -.-' the rest is DANGER... full of mobs... There should be a town or village were pple can relax (this place may have new NPC's, quests, & more...) every now and then... also like islands to expand the place out... and enter buildings in the game... when I first played... I was disappointed cuz I couldn't enter houses and stuff... (there could be quests, Npc, etc.) A lack of NPC in the game worried me from the very start.

Also the language barrier... too many languages... turks, french, etc. Why don't they have a version for each language!? In other games (I compare again) pple would play and stuff like that but here... it's like you CANNOT talk to anyone :x like I'm in the streets alone... :cry:

The trading system is very badly designed. In essence, if they want to fight you, you have already lost, if they run, then you (obviously) don't have to kill them, but more importantly, they know they can't win. So 9 times out of 10, the outcome is predetermined - which makes trading boring and pointless.

Then of course, invisibility + overpowered nukes takes the above to entirely new levels of ridiculousness.
You will spend 99% of your time grinding, you just don't know it yet.
