Reason why Sro > WoW in my eyes.. Silkroad doesn't have cartoon graphics. WoW has cartoon graphics. I cannot stand playing a game like that. Honestly if WoW didn't have cartoony graphics I would play it.

What is there to compare in this post? All that is to compare are videos, which mean nothing considering almost every mmorgp has similiar looking cinema videos.

WoW and Silkroad are two totally different mmorgps in concept and in game play.

In all honesty, I couldn't see WoW working with any other graphics. It sticks to the art style of th RTS games (mostly WC3) just a bit more modern. (not totally up-to-date, but there's some improvements to the graphics engine coming in WotLK)

And in all honesty, if SRO is your comparative, you could shoot much much higher then that.

And now an opinion from someone who's actually played both WoW and SRO~


Graphics =/= Theme, get that right for once.

Yes WoW is a life consuming game, but that's because WoW has an awesome end-game that you can enjoy for hours. Opposed to SRO where 70% of the gameplay is sitting on your butt smashing numbers 1 and 2 on your keyboard just trying to level. (The world record for getting from 1-70 in WoW is 1.1 days)

Only kids QQ about having to P2P WoW, thus WoW has less kids playing. I mean hell, the amount of money I would spend in one month of SRO is equivalent to 3 months of WoW.

TL:DR

Overall, WoW is better, but I still love ya SRO

Though i've never played wow, from these kinda videos and screenshots i've seen, the cinimatics look like so much better then what the actual game looks like lol, does the stuff in wow actually look like that, like that dragon, I know Roc looks like that ingame for sro and stuff.

They do refer to the movies as "cinematic trailers" so as to avoid confusion.

And like KTHXBAI said, the Medusa trailer isn't SRO's game engine either. ^^

I spent almost $700 in 1.5 years of SRO.

I've spent maybe $300 in 1.5 years of WoW.
