I never used a bot ^^ On an previous server I was in a mixed guild bots/legits and learned a lot about bots there. If it's so easy the legits should own all the fortresses at the moment. Bots users use a bot for pve but connect themselves and go pvp or job warring. They learn the stuff there.

Well, I personally played on lv.90 Archer ... yeah indeed, I needed 2-3 days to figure everything out... I was pretty confused at first, when I got him in hands first time ...

But after 2-3 days, I couldnt see difference between me, and someone that played Bower 1 year...
The rest was on gear ... lets face it, the people you are talking about Stress, lack of inteligence.

Tell me, about PvE... it isn't like PvP ... I will never, during grind, act like I'm PvPing ...
Those are totally diffrent stuff ... (example Warrior, when you started about him.)

When I'm facing Giant, I wont do the same thing I'd do when I'm PvPing ...
I mean, if I can take him down, without switching to Cleric rod and casting healing cycle... why would I cast healing cycle ... I'd kill him with Sword...
And I dont think I'll grind on mobs that are few levels above me, so I have problems with killing them, and I need to use some PvP tactics...

Example at your Glavier:
You will never switch to shield when you get KD-ed, because you simply dont need to... (1)
You will mindlessly start with some skill, and end with another... (2)

PvP =/= PvE


But You do gain some skill... but true skill is gained in PvP.

(1) I switch to shield after each mars on my hybrid spear (level 70) and on my glaiver (level 59). Why? I AoE grind with ghost spear. With 6-7 mobs on myself, the two seconds can really save my ass. This is a PvP tactic, which I use in PvE.

(2) It never happens like this. Talk about giants: I aggro the giant with lion shout / flying dragon. Then, if there's no other mob around, I hit the giant with SSS + SST, as soon as another mob gets in sight, I aggro the mob to get it close to the giant, so that my AoE attacks (Ghost spears and/or nukes) can kill the mob faster. This isn't mindlessly starting with one skill and ending with another one. Same principle works with a blader, a bower or an INT S&S. (with different skills, though) Have I missed any chinese build?

Personally, I dont like to think much when I'm grinding ... grinding is something that will relax me ... to put my legs on desk , turn TV on , watching TV , clicking on mobs...

PVE is searching for the most suitable array of keystrokes that's all. Push 1 2, before the attack is finished focus on the next mob, push 3 4, before the attack is finished focus on the next mob, repush 1 2. Nothing difficult, use your toolbar for that.

I'm glad that I have a very good friend that is legit on my server. We do other stuff to relax from the grinding. If the game was just PVE, I would probably quitted since long.

With no silk, I need to level faster than normal. And if I play as described above, in fact, I do. I level almost as fast as a non-skilled GT user in the same period of time, on similar builds. I've tried it out, and I was maybe at 70% of his Exp. Even though it's, maybe, exhausting, and a waste of pots, that's how I play. I've had a very hard time catching up with botters anyway. But that's one of the reasons I stopped playing, in the end. The effort at level 70+ just wasn't worth it anymore, without silk.

Why do you focus on that level? Play for having fun, find a couple of same minded players on your server, go for uniques, do trades, try to organise fun stuff. Take breaks from the grinding and you will re enjoy the game. Just learn to live with the fact that bots will always outlevel you, don't try at all price to catch up with them. The higher the cap, the more difficult it is to try to catch them up.

Yeah indeed, I had a time when I was tired of grinding, and quitted a bit ...

I don't think so ^^ Most players start botting because they see how fast bots level up. Ignore the levels, focus on the game and how you can have fun with it. Endless grinding to try to catch a high level is not for me, I grind ok, when my friends aren't on, and myself and my friends really don't feel a need to use a bot because we enjoy the game in another way than reaching the highest cap in the shortest time.

It's just that everyone wants to be the first level 90, the game is not only about that. I'm sure that 90% of the bots (not gold bots) started using a bot because the felt outlevelled. The other 10% because when they started on a server they wanted to be the first level 80.

Euro chars are faster to level up even in solo than chinese. I'm on a 1H/xbow, red mobs, no parties and can make it level 60 with premium plus running on it in one month with FF for both masteries. For a blader I would be glad to have level 50 in the same laps of time.

Thats there own problem took my glaive 1 year + to get to lvl 70 and 4 months farming to get farmed i didnt care, Didnt need to cheat played with my friends when i wanted to.

My euro char i barely used any silk and within a few months im nearly lvl 90 with most of my skills.

if you don't kill people who are known or if you can't take down uniques (not the low ones) you are a nobody

you tell people you are legit - they go like "wow" but more in a way like "wow damn ur still handgrinding lolz"

this game is all about being capped, being farmed and good gear
why? because you get owned while jobbing/pvping/fortress war if you dont have these things, and those are the only real fun parts apart from messing around, which gets boring when u play this game for 2 years or more

just think about futur : gap 100 110 120 ... 150
impossible to play, test and enjoy several characters without botting
gonna take eternity for leveling just 1 char max gap, full farm (if no max dont think about enjoying the game fully)

I've always been legit since the very first day I started SRO somewhere in 2006 (summer I think?). I've always hand grinded, never plvl, no silk, etc...
