A bb/pellet gun is totally different from a pellet gun. A pellet gun would go straight through a porcupine.

A bb gun shooting pellets means its a combination air rifle. A true pellet gun is designed for small game hunting and and young-age precision shooting practice. The pellet gun shoots at ~1500 fps while the combination rifle may hit ~600 at the max.
