The reason is plvl will not be favourable. Another point is even 2,3, or 4 person can form a party too. So when the legits log on, they can join party and start grinding. Waiting to form a successful party will upset most legits and ends up quiting the game. I know this solution will not be favourable for wizard and cleric. So, i hope if there is a shared party at the particular area, the spawn rate for normal mobs can be more depends on the numbers of players in a shared party.

If there's someone trying to make a real party and half the people available to join that party are just getting plvled, the person actually trying to legitimately level can't. No one is going to stop the lv90s from plvling newbies, but if I were a person making parties, I wouldn't even bother adding plvled retards, especially those who leave functioning parties to get plvled.

somebody tell akil to let me know when the plvl is over and i'll log in again to party it up.

finding a good stick takes a long time
time=money
therefore, it will take more money to get a stick then to get a condom

I still personally believe that there should be a rule Confederation-wide for powerleveling. It is really a disservice to both the party, and the player that is being plvled. Say that you are plvled to 50, well you have no idea what to do in a party. That pisses me right the **** off. You don't perform well enough to stay in the party, I normally kick the person and don't care who has a problem with it. xP There are plenty of other people out there to take the spot, and I'm sure the player can just as easily find his way back into a plvl as he did into my party.

I think we should push for a no plvl rule. I was pushing for none after 30, but it seems that even at the lowest levels it is a pain to find a good leveling party due to the problems of plvling.

@Argo: I understand you are leveling your guild up, but as a guild master you need to recognize that you are doing a great disservice to yourself. If you really want to do the "you can only plvl if you have a gap" thing, maybe you should make it only people with a 9 gap. You get far more gp and technically it would be pfarming. Then, as soon as they are farmed, guess what? They can join an 8 man party and level normally, allowing them to learn their builds and be able to perform when needed.

guys, its this easy...
if you find pl to be such a great problem by the majority, then cut it out.

if the majority doesnt find it to be that bad, then stop giving your opinions on the matter.. if you know what i mean

why can't yall just do this? you acting like politicians, talk and talk and talk and talk about the issue but never really going to the bottom line and take action..

decide it once and for all... or at least for a while, make it so you have a meeting with everyone each month or w.e idk, but you seriously gotta stop finding something to argue about every Farking week

thank you

i would never leave a working party for a powerlevel but that day if there is no good party whatso ever and someone offers me a plvl or i find out someones doing a plvl i would go. ya know why not get like 20% while i go eat or watch T.V but i would never be in a working party and say omg so and so is doing a plvl im going. my char has been powerleveled twice first when i was lvl 16 i got plvled at crabs then yesterday i was in a party with no cleric zanthra came and said bards mc me everyone leech. so we had a plvl for 30 mins(good way to spend the last 28 minutes on my ticket ^^)I know my build if u watch me in pvp i can kill 5x wizes and warroirs 3 lvls ahead of me.(im lvl 46) of course with vigors :P

well i didnt read the whole thread, but i just wanted to say something. maybe u high lvls could do something else than powerlvl (bot trap - there are loads of gold bots around now) cuz once a powerlvl pt opens, the grind pt becomes dead >.>. that or there wont be enough ppl to get the pt going, sinc most ppl will be getting powerlvled..
zen was powerlvling at penons the day before and today (dunno about yesterday). im sure he was just trying to help out, but the pt i was in couldnt get started. we had pretty much everyone, except the cleric =_=. im sure there mgiht have been a cleric in the plvl pt :\
today, we had a good pt going (well, not that good, but not bad either). then someone started powerlvling. some of the ppl in our pt had to log off, so it became kinda empty. then our tank left the pt to join the plvl one >.>. soon we got another tank, but we couldnt get the pt started cuz we only had 1 wiz (the powerlv pt had 2 wiz when i saw them). so i hope the high lvls could stop the daily powerlvling cuz it crashes grind pts. they could bot trap or pvp instead >_>
let it gooooo let it gooooOoOooOOOOOO

Well is not against the rules powerlvl if the powerlvl guy is a legit one. Also is probably +1 way to help low lvl to like, enjoy and stay in a legit guild. The problem that I can see there is destroy party 8/8 because people prefer to get powerlvl and not play in a 8/8. Also is important to notice that if you are getting exp without doing nothing, when you need the skill to lvl in a 8/8 party you cannot play that well.

Then, I guess in the end would be better to give powerlvl if anybody wants to give, just dont do that a lot of times.

I did too. I promise you Argo, the people you are plvling, yea they suck. xP They have a shit ton of sp, all the character skills, and no actual skill as a player. I bet if they jump in a fight (pve or pvp) they will die multiple times before finally giving up and asking for plvl to get stronger.

Oh noes... a capped player killing lowbies cause he can't pvp with other capped players. -scared-

It's been mentioned a few times in this thread already but I'd also recommend just powerfarming with a 9 gap between 15 and 23 and building up 20k-30k SP and then partying from 24 to 5x with a 0 gap. It will take you less time than powerleveling to 5x and you'll know how to play your build. Also, it'll contribute more GP for those guilds that want to level up.

zomg I actually agree with remus. Not like it would affect much, because the ones that can offer plvl would listen and do it, no loss for them. The lower lvl's can't get plvl'd by anyone out of the confed. anyways, so it wouldn't make to much of a difference. It would just help out, not hurt anyone.

And cerus is right, plvl is the same mentality botters have- Laziness.

Yeah, I can understand accepting plvl (even though its noob in the first place), but to pick it OVER A PARTY...**** that. If your getting plvl'd, and a party pops up, leave the plvl and go grind in a party...but noooo, to many people think its faster to get pfarmed or plvl'd...when a proper party is 2-3x faster.

Point is to many high level's are offering the plvl. Stop offering it so people can stop accepting it. I guarantee there is plenty of people over 20 to get a party started on almost any mob, there is absolutely no need for plvl at all. If your gonna plvl someone, make an alt and plvl that or something...it's better for the person anyways.

i'm pretty sure not every single high lvl gets on at once and plvls at once. it's not their fault if the lower levels aren't dedicated enough to start a party and keep it going. i think guild leaders and officials need to fix their recruiting methods if that's the case.

I rather party with a noob that doesn't know how to play their build but will actually listen to advice than with douchebags that think they know it all and think are god's gift to SRO.

But back to the topic on hand. I do think Pleveling shouldn't be done so often. You will spoil people and they will bitch and moan when they can't level on their own. Pleveling should be a rare treat to those that actually put some effort into leveling themselves. Pleveling does kill the party system. The more people you rush to cap the more bored people likely to quit you will have.

Since people do not want to stop power lvling, why not just have plvl for people who gain 5 lvls or so on their own or only every saturday for for 1 or 2 two hours and let that be it.

My views:

If higher lvl people really want to help, they should just join a party that is lacking a certain build and help out that way. The lower lvl people in the party should also fight. I believe that this is the best way to help out. This way, everyone gets to learn their job and the high lvl gets there charitible needs fulfilled.

rofl something to change the topic nice :D

In my eyes powerleveling can be good, it can also be bad. As it has already been said a powerleveled n00b doesnt know how to play his build - so why not make it so that the people who have the most forum activity or ingame activity gets chosen for a plvl - then that way it would make everyone more active and leveling for themself's no?

OR

After the end of every week - 7 people get chosen out of each guild with the most GP donation or ingame activity for a powerlevel - again this way would make people more active and leveling for themself's?

Also it has been mentioned but change recruitment criteria and rules...

Plvling or Powerpartying with a purpose. If there aren't any parties going on in my lvl or the parties are full, I check the partymatch from time to time. If I notice a certain sungs, ongs, crabs, bungs, or other lowbie party can't get off the ground, I'll help out for a while until the party fills up and then leave. I've given up my spots on penons and other less exp areas so that lower lvls can gain exp and learn their builds or rejoin their party with an alt that has the class they need to complete their party (or when I become bored, whichever comes first). Anyway wizes can be plvled. Hard to be incompetent in a class when all you have to do is LC, ask for buffs, then try to coordinate the damage to min. overkilling and cover other ints if wars are slow. Now warriors/clerics on the other hand take a little more effort and concentration and harder to be good at those classes.
