Hmm, the forums we're not really better in the early days, been reading from the start, and posting since a couple of months later. Sure we're missing some key members since then, and we sure have a lot of bot madness going on atm.
That's just all related to the game, and the community in the game. This forum, with it's huge member base, is supposed to reflect the active Silkroad community. And it does. Joymax's reluctancy to do anything about this game that derailed years ago, voiced itself into the board.
People need a place to vent, as we don't all want to end up on youtube like that angry German kid. With SRT being a shit dead place, SRF is that venting channel. People don't make those topics about bots with the wrong intentions, they're just venting there anger in a place packed with people whom have similar problems.
Looking for support in a way i guess. It's the human way.
It's the reactions in the threads that cause the actual problem on this board. Venting isn't always a good way to do things, as it tends to piss people off a bit more. Which shows in the comments. Natural behaviour, but not really good for any discussion.
We're kinda all cause of that problem, I can sure as hell remember myself flaming some people more then I should have.
Mods aren't the only solution. To quote some horrible B movies: "The answer lies withing yourself". Tacky, i know, but it's kinda true. If we as the SRF community respond differently to certain discussions/topics, just keep the bot war going, this will be a better place in no-time.
