The ND in BND stands for national diploma btw
I did BND IT Practitioners a few years back, i believe master wong is also doing/did a similar one. Im starting my 3rd uni year soon for a Bcs Honours degree in Software Development/Applied Computing.
College/University is alot different in the UK. College is usually free and what university you went to dosnt really mean anything except how deep your pockets are and/or how much of a posh snob you are. Sure some places might have crap facilitys compared to others but the grades/diplomas/degrees etc. at the end are worth the same no matter where you got them from.
Also its not really that hard to get into one over here 9from what ive seen/experienced atleast), you apply to a course at the college rather than the college it self and as long as you meet all the requirements for the course (alot of courses for example require a C or above in GCSE english and maths) and there is enough space left you should get in easily. Everything ive done so far has been on a first come first serve basis.
Going up to university usually requires UCAS points. For every course you finish you get some UCAS points based on your results. Alot of courses require you to have a certain amount before you can do them. Again, not really that hard to get into if you get in there fast enough. Alot of people i know seem to choose where they go based on the area/community around the university rather than the university itself since it dosnt really matter that much.
