Self-forfilling prophecy
well there is this thing i would like to share with you guys xD its called self-forfilling prophecy (forfilling correct?),, and well,, it might be sro related xD
this is the theorie,, if enough people say;
all turks are scammers,, <- prophecy
turks will think,, they are calling us scammers for no reason,, i dont want to be blamed for something i havent done,, and if the people keep saying,, all turks are scammers
the turks will think,, im going to scam,, because i dont want to be blamed for something i havent done <- self forfilling part of the prophecy
but since this whole turks are scammers idea got out of hand,, its to late to stop it,, so we can all just keep saying that turks are scammers without regret,,
so this topic makes no sense (all the turks are scammers part),, but keep this in mind when ur going to discriminate a minor group,,
thank you for your attention xD

Re: Self-forfilling prophecy
Symbolic interactionism, theory of etiquetting, when a person is marked as deviant, they start thinking of themselves as being deviant and start acting like they are. I had an essay on this subject in sociology class last year, I hate sociology. ><
edit: dont mistake egyptians for turks
edit 2: and vice versa

what the heck?
Re: Self-forfilling prophecy
1) You misspelled fulfilling. You firefox and add a dictionary to reduce spelling mistakes.
2) That statement that all Turks are scammers is false and slightly racist.
3) It'll never be self fulfilling. If a lot of people start saying it, you'll have a small yet clever minority, yes I said small to emphasise it, even though small is a natural characteristic of a minority, will work against your prophecy by being nice, friendly and not maintaining a scamming nature.
4) You sir are an idiot
5) This thread is full of fail.
6) And last but not least: Because a picture says more than a thousand words.

Yes the original picture is a lot bigger, but photobucket has the annoying habit to shrink things.

You shouldn't point out the spelling when your post is full of grammar mistakes.

Re: Self-forfilling prophecy
I understand, tho i don't think it's self fulfilling.
We force them to fulfill it, don't we?

Yes, of course, thats how people are and it can't be changed until those idiots(the accusers) stop screwing with another group of people.
Thats how we do things on Earth, i hate it, and its just a fact.
