Am i hacked ? and how ?

Don't ever leave info behind on the internet. From you username or charactername one might find your real name, favourate music, birthplace, nicknames etc. if given enough time. Google is the word. Eventhough your secret answer or password is diffenent, knowing a lot about the person one is hacking can narrow down the possibilities to a quick dictionary attack. However, with email vertification and a decent password on your email you can prevent this.

However if you got bruteforced (can hardly imagine) by a "real" hacker you can't help it.

It really doesnt matter the gold i had much to me, i had things around 500m, but i think i can build up pretty fast with the help of friends, and every gold that goes, it will eventully come back, and the most important to me was that my char stats/skills/gap all are the same and im very glad they didnt messed up my char, BUT the only things that bothers me is i just cant remember the secret answer so i can manage to change the password or it will be hacked again and again by the same person, i cant play with this account if i dont manage to change the password.

Specially recently, i had nothing else except play this game, and watch few movies on the pc while the game is open, thats all, and i was very out-going so no much time playing also, just stalling.

Anyone knows a way to change the password without the secret answer, i just wish i remember it, i am afraid that i sometimes do type just rubbish laters just to skip the question, thinking i would never use it..

Hi, I usually read and not post; but my friend had the same issue a few days ago; just wondering what are the next steps after being hacked?

1) change pw or is it safe for now
2) find and delete keyloggers or just reformat harddrive and reinstall OS and sro; and then change pw
3) and what to do to prevent this from happening; 'cause like the guy was saying; guild is super nice people and readily donate items and gold, but don't want to lose their stuff if hacked again... THX for any suggestions.

4) Oh, anyone know if WOW or Guild Wars is safer; i mean is a lot of work and time for non-botters and non-goldbuyers (lol and non-silk users).

My bro told me that his friend was hacked in the same way, there was a trojan uploaded to his pc while visiting sites related to silkroad and he had to format his pc before changing his password, so i might just do the same, but have to create a new account which i already did, and yesterday, friends gave me some gold which i bought with it a full npc set which costs aroound 15m, and unluckly, i was hacked again, reasonable since i couldnt change my password, and he took my npc set .. lol, so i am just waiting for joymax reply, and if no replies, then i will chargeback..

Sorry About your loss my friend , but cant be out of those :

1. you watch alot azn porn and u got spyware , torjans and keyloggers < lol no way
2. you got spyware/keylogger from friend or an illegal program
3. u try use cracked bots ( usually keylogger containing )
4. u share ur acc with some son of b*tch or type it without thinking he is seeing wat u type.

I actually didnt do any of those, and i still cant figure out how its done. And im trying in my ways and helps from my friends to know atleast who he is, then me might know how he did it.
