Am i hacked ? and how ?

I was logged in today morning, and set my stall before going to work, and now that im back, i was dc, so i just connnected back again, and i see i have no weapons, so i opened my inventory, and its was empty, except for my grabbing pet, avatar and the quest scrolls, and ZERO gold, and i went to check my storage straight away, and all my weapons there is also gone, some of my elements, and a few wpn elixirs, although i still have more than 2 pages of elixirs, they are still there.. is that a bug or am i hacked somehow.. :S

a friend or family member is usually the case. Unless you've been downloading multiclients/bots/stuff from unreliable sources

Nope, its any keylogs, i would of known that, and i never accept any files or anything from anyone.. and my pet is still full of items, that got me confused and think of it as it might be a bug or something that joymax do for fun... I even came and checked the stall network, none of my items is there, yet

You shared your infos with someone, don't say you didn't do it, don't say you didn't dl anything, because you did. You didn't get hacked, people don't get simply hacked..you got scammed. Accept the truth, rebuild your char and stay away from random sites.

Doesnt really mean that, your trying to be wise but there is a bruteforce you know.

It would take months, years! in order to find a password. Joymax would be aware of their server being attacked.

bruteforcing is useless, unless it is being done locally, and even then- its still practically useless unless you have lots of time to kill.

Unless their password is 1234 or password, then it might be quick.

I tried to change my password, but damn cant remember the secret answer, and i didn't had any keyloggers, my work is in IT field, i know all that stuff and how things can happen, and if it is a bruteforce or some new method, it must have been one person i might think of, the guy that was gonna buy my lv87+6 earring, and he was just delaying.. and how come he did take all my pots and didnt take the elixirs and stones in my storgae, but did take the weapons... and even he took the pills, but let the pet kit.. strange things.. and my password is not in the dictionary or anything, its random meanless word

Ok let's say it was a "hacker" and he "brutforced" his password. Now why would a serious "hacker" bruteforce his account? Let's say you could "hack" accounts, would you prefer a lvl 7x, or a lvl 9x with sun items? doesn't make sense, right? Now first the "hacker" would need to write a tool that would do that, since he can't use a regular bruteforce tool cause there is a strong captcha on joymax site, and doing all that for a 7x acc? C'mon why do other people don't get "hacked?" There are so many lvl 90's, why they don't get "hacked?"..don't share your infos and you are safe.

I'm telling you, you can't simple do that for sro. If you would try that on Joymax.com, the acc would get blocked after 3 tries for one hour. Someone would need to write a tool that would start the client, type id and the possible password twice, then restart the client to bypass the "account has been blocked for 15 mins" blabla, now do all that for a lvl 7x acc? Not to forget he would need his ID to actually do that, no one would spend time to write such a tool for a 7x acc, that's ridiculous. Most people won't admit that they shared their infos, because they'd feel ashamed. Also it would take weeks, prolly months to actually guess a password, unless it was something easy like "123456", "silkroad" etc.

Lets assume they somehow bruteforce or something to get my password, but no one knows my username, and i dont think its mentioned anywhere, and regarding who knows my id and pass, only 3 persons knows, and yeah i know, you say they betrayed me, but im 100% sure they wont, unless they are doing a stupid joke on me, which will end up by really getting hurt, one of them is my father, which i play with all the time, and the other one is my cousin, who also helped me in getting silk, and the third and last is my bro and he used to set my stall when i get dc and im not around when he was visiting,, thats all

And yeah, i know how it feels, cause when others say that they got hacked and stuff, and that they didnt do anything or never gave out there password, and always thought to myself, they must did that but dont wanna admit it, or that they made a mistake somehow, although in some cases thats how they got hacked, but now i know how it feels.. i dont care much about the gold or the stuff i had, i just dont want it to happen again, i can rebuild myself, but i just dont wanna rebuild and recieve gold from friends and end up wasting their gold by being hacked all over again..

Is there any solution of changing the password without knowing the secret answer, cause i just failed my 6th time, and i cant remember it

Yeah, makes no sense for someone to hack a 7x, but who knows...besides that, he'd have to know the in-game name, so I lean towards "whoops, wrote my password down and my kid sister gave it to that jerk down the street who also plays SRO"

In our guild, we decided that none of the leaders would EVER share their info with anyone else. Simple...

Hmmm trying to bruteforce with the client won't work because of the 3 tries, but has anyone checked to see if doing so at JM's website or SRO's website would have the 3 limit? Also, for the topic starter, did you check to see if your acct is on the massive user list? If you are using an old acct than odds are it's on there.

its not hard to get into other people's accounts. many idiots make their usernames the same names as their forum/xfire or other things. then their secret question is typically, your mother's maiden name or something. look up their myspace... you don't have to "hack" to get into somebody else's account...

Dude that sucks for you, i encountered this problem before, not knowing how or when the hell they did it.

Was hacked, my stuff were gone, all weapon and stuff,not my scrolls and non tradeables.

Then i wondered, WTF, how the hell could anyone do that, when i have not given info on my username and PW, didn't download retarded crap, and Didn't tell anyone that i play this game and shit, family members knows, but they don't know wth is it.

So who knows, maybe JM, maybe a pro hacker, you decide, Your going to get hacked, you know it, just good thing its not anything IRL.

I did send a note to joymax, and just hoping that i would get a response on the next inspection, i dont feel like playing this char anymore although i managed to farm 100k+ Sp, its just not worth rebuilding it and the idiot just use the password again to get in and clean my inventory all over again, i will just wait till the inspection, if no response, then i will just make another account, and i still would be looking for the person who did this and never stop. I also sent another note to joymax, saying that i recently bought around 1000silk, and if my password is not reseted somehow, then my account would be useless and i would chargeback xD
