dual-booting
anyone know where i can find a guide on how to dual-boot windows and linux? or if you know how could you help me?

Try Wubi. Or make a separate partition with an Ubuntu live CD.

I suggest either running Linux, or running Windows. Wine takes care of basically everything you need, but it was annoying to boot my computer every single time I wanted to go to the Windows side of things.
