Which xbox360 game should I go buy?

They had 1 last copy of used bioshock and splinter cell da, so I had to buy them. I need to get gears of war and halo 3 next.

I paid 59,99 for GTA IV; 169,99 for Rockband; 59,99 + 40,99 for AC5; 54,99 for Mass Effect; etc. etc.

What it comes down to is that FPS action games don't give me erections. Bioshock is an FPS - it's a great FPS: amazing graphics, the best environment in a game i've played in the longest time, good story (so far), ok combat; but it's still an FPS. When I consider that I paid 29,99 for the game, and the experience i've gotten from it compared to all the other games I own, it was definately a good buy. I don't regret it, and even though the controls (because it's console) make combat akward and unfufilling, it's a great game.

Wait until WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 comes out. It's a really cool game. I loved WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 and WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008. I guess this will be a success too.

I absolutely despise wrestling - the shows, the toys, the games, everything. I had a friend over who really likes it, so I downloaded the demo for him. It looked painful to play, and being the huge fan that he is - I asked him if he liked it, he said no.

I guess it's an American thing. I love the NHL games, and all my friends own them; but I assume that's different in the US. Even the baseball games, the last time I played one was a ken griffey one on snes, and all we did was see who could score higher in a batting competition.

You've probably played FEAR on PC. If not, it's dirt cheap for the 360 and has the same feel as Bioshock (although not nearly as pretty). Still an FPS though, so sorry.

Gears of War is insanely fun and the dependence on cover as you move through the campaign makes it at least a little strategic.

I haven't found a racing game that I love but there are many older ones that you can get for cheap that will certainly keep you entertained. PGR3 for example.

There are a handful of RTS coming out but the interface just blows on consoles. They're working on it but from what I've seen, it looks like it will never compare.

I don't mind FPS, if there's more to it then gunning (like bioshock and mass effect). Your thoughts on gears of are are reassuring, I've been wanting to "pick that one up next" since I bought rockband and i've been putting it off. I'm also going to look into fear.

From my experience, if the game was developed with multiplayer as the priority, it never seems to get away from the "Doom" mode of just running and shooting. But if the game was designed around a solo campaign and multi was just an afterthought, it usually keeps my attention for much longer; there's always an additional element that makes it interesting or challenging.

Bioshock because of the environmental interaction. Both Bioshock and FEAR because of the atmosphere. GoW because of the strategic movement through the map using cover. Rainbow Six Las Vegas because of tactical room-by-room entry and clearing.

Halo, on the other hand, will always be run and shoot. Its great for that, but it isn't much more than that either.

The only exception to this that I can think of is the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighters. They're much better in multiplayer than solo but require teamwork, strategy and communication to move through the map.

how could you prefer PC controls with bioshock to console controls. PC is just so....bad....everything is buttons and clicking, console is triggers and sticks everything just feels more fluid....W,A,S,D movement with 1,2,3,4etc and F1,F2, F3, etc for changing! It was a nightmare of unpleasantness. When i found out i could hook a 360 controller up to my laptop i was just the gayest little gay kid ever.

I'm not sure if you're still open to dicussion about this, but i would highly reccomend Rainbow Six Vegas 2. I know you haven't liked my reccomendations so far =P, but you should try it out. It's not just a "run and shoot like your Rambo" type game. Entering each room is strategic and planned out. With squad command, snake cams, door charges, and a co-op campaign. It can keep you entertained for quite a while.

Not really a full length game but I just bought geometry wars 2 today, and that is one of the best xbox live arcade games ever, very fun Other than that halo 3,cod4, gears of war(gears of war 2 coming out soon too), assassins creed mabye, bioshock, rockband

Oh my god I hated Unreal Tournament so much its not even funny, it FAILS. Only good UT was the original..
