Because banned bots can just make a new acc and bot from 5 to 90... When they ban IPs and masks then i'll actually give them some credit...

Yeah but there's a lot users who have dynamic IP which change avery 24h (for example most internet users in Poland) so IP bans do nothing good...

you are forgetting the amount of kids over the world broken up for sumer vacation, expect silkroad to be packed for the next month or two. maybe joymax actually planned this thinkign about it. theyve done alot of banning before summer vacation maybe in hope of attracting new people to play silkroad over the summer.

I don't think IP bans would do much good, especially for people who play SRO from a university or other large network. If Joymax banned the user's IP, wouldn't they be banning the entire university, or at least a subset of the university's network?

Then if you get banned while playing from an internet cafe, the entire cafe is banned.

yeah but on the other hand if someone checked IP's on logs and then saw about 50 (dunno, maybe less, maybe more) account logged from the same IP -> clientless, then there is no need to be detective to find that uit's no legit user ) and then BUM, just ban all acc from this IP but not the IP.

30 clients connected to the gameserver from the same ip are max. They added 30 account limit cause in egypt and other countries there are atleast 20 people playing at same time from net cafes, so if they would do it like that they would ban accounts from legit people too.

Yeah, full of BOTS. Bots have been stealing my kills recently too. I'm trying to do the Ghost Soldier flag quest and on top of the low drop rates, I have bots killing my enemies... it will take years to finish this quest.

be careful here. with so many people seemingly getting banned without ever having used a bot, we are forced to conclude that JM is also banning based on modified or altered clients. protect yourself, use the current, unchanged client.
