but i still think 5 lvl requirment is a little bit too harsh...

level 5 is a little harsh 10 is too big tho. a level 60 can plvl a level 40 no problem as long as a 50 is pt leader under a 10 level range. 7 would seem like a good range. 14 levels almost always span an entire leveling range.

I would prefer an overall 10 range rather than a range that depends on the party leader. What happens if (s)he disconnects?

I may work on rebuilding the guild after reaching level 90 with Vivace, but it's hard with the number of legit players in Troy these days. There's 2 legit unions that I know of, and then some legit players here and there.

I haven't read nearly enough in this thread to make a coherent statement on anyone else's posts, but I would like to point out that the powerlvling issue has gotten so bad that it is common place for people to believe that a legit euro party is being plvled. A good party, as everyone on Venus knows, can kill mobs 11 - 15 lvls (or higher) fairly easily. It seems that anyone who doesn't party in a Euro party automatically assumes that we are being plvled and can't possibly be grinding in a party.

Case and point, trousers posted this, and got automatically accused of being plvled.

They asked for proof. You showed them no proof at all. A level 35 with less than 1000 sp does NOT show avalon hardcore plvling their alts. So yes, you did fail. Find more proof and thats fine with me. Once again, dont bring me into it... dont care if im used as a general point or not.

I applaud those whos opinions I agree with. I debate in a normal manner with people who present their points without acting like a child or moron. I shun idiots. I kill bots. if you getting powerleveled by a botter, what does that make you?

because i'm gonna be honest. I personally am not a big fan of powerleveling, because i think it takes alot of fun out of the game, like exploring now areas, finding good places to grind, getting good item drops. so i think you miss out alot of the game.

But atm i'm farming on my noob acc and i've never been a big fan of farming. so i'm getting plvl-d with a 9gap then dlvling at a certain level.
But i know for a fact i'm getting plvld by a botter.

On Venus you would be blacklisted and no member of the legit unions (BHA, Avalon, Blade and Overkill) would party with you. If you are powerleveled by a bot, you are considered a bot.

I dunno if this has been mentioned or not but I doubt majority of the SRO population will come to terms with the solution proposed. Imagine people who want to powerfarm alt accounts at ongs, specially when 90 cap builds need 600-700k+ sp and 100 cap would be even more. This may benefit some of the newer servers but when it comes to older servers it'll prove a disaster.

If you are new player to SRO plving is not the way to go, need to lvl up yourself and learn about your build, but lets say you have a legit cap player Chinese and want to make a 2nd Character European. I don't see why anyone legit would want to spent 2-3 years again to reach the cap. I rather use my high lvl. and plv to cap fully farmed in a max of 2 month.

I am in a dilemma on this issue. On my earlier days (level 40-50) I do not rely on plvl much. Finding hunting parties at Mujigi and Penons was very easy. I was able to level up fairly fast in parties and rely on a very small amount of plvling. As I level up, however, it becomes increasing differcult to find hunting parties. Yetis and Edimmu parties were very rare so I started to rely on plvl more. Finally after level 64, parties at mobs such as Niya Snipers were almost non-existent. So I was forced to solo farm and pay for tons of plvl to level up. Eventually I do not have enough money to pay for the plvl anymore, so I was forced to plvl noobs just to make cash for my own plvl.

I love party grinding. Killing mobs 10 level above me is exciting. But the game as it is right now is very differcult to find parties. A Minority of the Players at my level do the same as I do. The rest of the majority starts botting.

So here is my dilemma. Plvling is good since it allows me to level up when I cannot find a grinding party. But Plvling is bad because it causes grinding groups to disappear. So if removing plvling will really make the server full of grinding groups I say YES remove plvling altogether. But if removing plvling will only increase the grinding groups by less than 4 times I would rather that the plvl stays. (e.g. currently there is one Niya Sniper grinding group every 4 days, even if this increases to one Niya Sniper grinding group per day it is NOT good enough). I got to level up one way or another. If the 2nd case is true then it is pretty much FORCING me to bot.

Party grinding need a HUGE advantage boost over boting and grinding. Joymax need to show everyone that party grinding is the way to go. Prehaps players must be within 5 levels of the party leader should be implemented, and at the same time players in the party gets double item drop rates.

What's bad about powerleveling?

Nothing more fun than beating someone in pvp who got plvled up to 90 and has no idea what they're doing, spamming skills hoping to kill you. Telling you to fck off after you easily kill them. Calling then two of their friends, also plvled, to try and scare you, but they also don't know how to play their char, so you kill all three of them and leave as they lie on the ground.

I like it.

As for parties...if they don't know what they're doing, don't pt with them?
