I don't see what this will do, they already ban people who don't bot and don't buy silk(most legits like me) and they ban normal goldbots(thats great ) and now there trying to say they will ban player bots, who's left? The low population of people who did buy silk and didn't bot? I don't bother with buying silks anyways i'm not to lazy that i have to buy a pet too pick things up for me and i don't need no wings to make me stronger. I smell Fail in JM plans but o well I'll have more fun on ecSRO or EVE.

Yea it would be much better if you like to pay monthly... Cuz the income of JM is from the silk buying. The 75 percent of silk buyers are botter... JM would lose all their income..And as u can see JM doesnt do anything for us, legints.

From a completely fiscal POV:

..... if i owned a company like Joymax and I see a player that has bought silk and may be botting i would not ban him, even it has been on a regular basis. Let the flames begin... Lets think about it the regular silk buy is shelling out considerable dollars for digital information that costs the company basically 0 dollars to produce. If they banned all the players that botted... the servers would have like 500 players each -> the game would not make money -> company go bankrupt -> no more game at all.

From a Botters POV: (I am not one, but wish I could use multi client, but don't): I will continue to bot and buy silk and if I get banned I will just hope to my xbox 360 or other mmorpg or possible but doubtful go legit.

From a Non-Botter POV: Its great ban the bastards...

It's not such a bad thing, as a legit, to be banned. What matters is whether or not the company has a process to unban that account, and how easy that process is.

I had a job one time several years ago that was coming to an end (temp job). After I left, a friend of mine (who also worked there full time) told me that when he got back from vacation, he found that his Active Directory domain account was blocked. He has the same last name as I do, and therefore was listed immediately under me in the Active Directory listing. One of the sysadmins mistakenly locked his account instead of mine.

If you're legit and get banned, just work to get the account back.

Disclaimer: This is assuming Joymax is willing to work with you to get the account back. I know they have done so in the past (I remember they helped SuicideGrl a while back), and with the more active 'war on bots' and everything lately, they may be more willing to do so.

It depends on where Joymax gets most of their money. Do they get more profit from silk sales, or more from license fees when they sell licenses to other companies to run cSRO, vSRO and other varieties? Maybe they make most of their money from advertising. Maybe silk sales only account for a small percentage of total company profit.

Just a suggestion.

I highly doubt it... I would say silk is the best form of steady income.. License agreements can be made as one time payments or as percentages over the life of the game <-- the best way for the parent company. However, skill is just so damn cheap for the company to produce! It is as close to a 100% profit as a company can get!

Nobody ever said that. What was said is that the botting population as a whole easily outbuys the legit community when it comes to silk.

Type of bot used configures into the whole banning scheme too. The majority of people that I know that were banned [besides being non-silk buyers] used Agbot. Have yet to hear of an isrobot or sm user to get banned.

My friend has been using Agbot since don't know when. He bought 30 silks over the 2 years thats all. N hes still bottin... wit Agbot... lvl 7x blader... =\

Account registration and the forums are done yes, but they still sell sm to those that have accounts.
