Mastery Lv?

so, is mastery gonna stay on x/300 forever or?
so if the cap reaches lv150 are we only gonna have our weapon + one other mastery, which means force will disappear cause chi needs imbue... at cap 60 u could have 5 masterys.. why did it stay at 300? now ppl have to downgrade skills and lose sp... i dont cause i just started playing int s/s but 80's do... was this something joymax planed or something joymax forgot to change?
im lv39 now but cold and fire are both on 30 cause i havent decided what to go with...

i want 4 masterys cause i wanna have all the nukes... :(

yeah gonna stay 300 forever , and yeah u will have to delvl skills , so get f*ked collecting crused hearts and still lose sp and alot ALOT gold , or buy silk :love: .

for now go 90 fire and cold and weapon , and 30 lightning only

I watched many 120 gap videos and i saw only peeps with 2 masterys so yes the mastery stays at 300

already got light on 37... :(
why fire and not light? i know that fire-more dmg but light has speed, parry, piercing force, plus the shouts which are rly needed for finishing off mobs...
i know u need cold for physical defence but fire only has mag def (which u have) and phy attack which u dont need that much cause ure an int...
only thing i see that u would need form fire is combustion...

so nuker @ 120 will have bicheon/cold 120 fire 60 or what?
this rly makes no sense... take everything from chi and give 2 complete classes to euro...

:roll: 300 mastery can point to any level from 80+ because from 80 on you can only max 2 masteries to the same level. The pk2 points to 140 and so does the help menu.

lol, no it doesn't. I'll copy and paste right now. Also you don't have to max two masteries. As a pure str you could probably leave your imbue far behind you for another mastery.

I also don't agree with you barotix. It wouldn't make since to have masterys 140/140 and 10 I think lvl 140 is the highest lvl of items thats why it only shows up to 140 on pk2 and to leave your main mastery or w/e far behind for another one isn't smart.

Well, not when Group PvP is all that'll really matter, and Item mall can make up for any loses. It shows 140 for everything.

Pure Str could easily leave its Imbue 40 levels behind. Imbue doesn't really make a massive difference especially as your Magical Balance decrease, same with Physical attacks for Pure int.

Oh, and it would be 20 levels:
140+140 = 280, 300-280 = 20.

Hell, you could have 140 weapon, 140 force, 20 Ice.

I'm serious about Imbue, though.

Oh, and since the damage from Physical attacks aren't that great for pure int. (hitting low without imbue, XD). You could probably pull off: 140 light, 100 Bicheon, 60 ice. If 40% snow shield isn't enough, then I don't know what is. Customization, but eh; it's all up to personal opinion I guess.

You can't base everything off the pk2 files. If you were then the skills ended at 70 long ago.

Yep, I know. I made notes of those changes as well. For Example, the pk2 show DareDevil ending at 80 then Show it going past 80. I figured there was a pattern, but the data for SRO levels hasn't changed. Actually, there's only one way to test this. I'll see if I still have the old Ecsro installer and install then check it's pk2. ;)

NOTE* The reason we have had 90 cap data for so long is because the game was originally released with 90 cap and 70 skills. They bumped it down to 60 for Isro so people wouldn't get bored like the other versions.

It wouldn't matter if it's in those files or not. Joymax probably bother creating the last 10 levels(What I believe if 150 the last cap) like how they took forever to created 20 new levels of skills along with euros.

@your note. They only had that much done at the time.

Well, I believe KSRO launched in 04 (or was it 05?) about 1 (or was it 2?) years to add skills up to 120 and beyond. You really think it would take them 3+ years to write 10 levels of experience points and sp?

150 is a possibility. I'll just stick with none of the above until they finish writing those last 10 levels of experience, sp, and skill data that has taken them 3+ years.

It's more like they havent bothered with it. The exp rates after lv 100 is outrageous and they probably realized that, but never put though into it. Saving the last 10 to decide how the rates should be or if they even make it that far.. ksro lost its users and the last hope for them is pretty much isro.

afaik JM started developing this game from 2002 in house, released in korea 2004, isro was 2006. JM has the game done fully. they just add data to the client side for us to download from time to time. the levels stays at 140, mastery at 300, proof is pk2. this leaves 20 mastery open for things like snow shield which starts at 20, glacial flame bicheon which starts at 20.. etc other such skills that starts first book at lvl 20 so you can use those open 20 master to go with a 3rd support tree of 20 and use them.

JM will change the skills more depending on version and how the players play them game. like snow shield was added @ 80 cap, but not from ice lvl 80, its a whole new skill book that started from lvl 20, so why didnt they add it before? same with the shield buff for bicheon. sp skills in pk2 will change but not the level data. :)

But you figure - using lv 40 nukes on a level 80 barely does any damage, using lv 100 bicheon skills on a 140 would do next to nothing. If you aren't going to go for the full 140 in bicheon (or whatever tree, for any attack skills other than buffs / passive) might as well not even have it because it will be fairly useless.

i dont rly care if its 140 or 150... like always topic went off...

the problem is that str chars will be ok but nukers will be severly damaged... a nuker without light and with low lv fire... i dot get the point...

i know that this is probably the main reason... greed.

If having 2 main masteries and one shit mastery at higher levels poses too much of a problem towards Chinese, there's nothing saying that the mastery levels won't be changed. I wouldn't say to depend on the fact that JM will, but rememeber that the game is still the process of being "completed." These higher caps haven't been tested in game yet. If they notice in ksro, that chinese with 2 masteries are completely worthless, I wouldn't be surprised if JM would do something about it.

EDIT: As for those saying that the loss of masteries for chinese is meant to be compensated with euro buffs, remember that JM said that Chinese are considered to be a SOLO race. They SHOULDN'T need euros to compensate for their lack of defenses.

that just means ints have to choose what they wanna do. do they wanna nuke for big damage but have low survivability, or they wanna have high survivability, but do less damage.

its a pain to find topics that contain some hint on what JM originally intends the 'best' build to be coz they have no search function. from my searching through the character section i found and took screen shots of those, but there are more. the main points from these are:

- best pvp build is pure str
- most damage pure int, but best as a support in pvp not alone
- str build should go weapon main/ fire imbue ( 2 max mastery; tho in some places she put fire lower than weapon), light as support
- when they say full int they mean no weapon skill.. i.e. fire /light pure nuker. so 2 max mastery
- the mastery cap is 300, but you can have any combination or trees of your choice

You forget that physical damage for pure int does very little damage. I could say without hesitation that around 9x% of a pure ints damage comes from imbue. One could leave their physical attacks behind without breaking a sweat. I noticed MD recommended Bladers as the Best STR PvPer. I believe they anticipated the powerful chains bladers will get, and I do agree with iShadow. Joymax most likely has this game completed but does tweaks from time to time.

that's what i said in my guide. It's not gonna be the best alone but best support fire.
