for python I prefer using the activestate shell for python, seems a little more official than the shitty shell the original Python uses

I use notepad...
THose learning HTML/CSS it is better to learn by notepad first,.. Using a program is not good.. you will miss out on alot o feature that dreamweaver doesnt allow you to do.
