Is it really worth me spending the money on? If I purchase it I figured I'd buy the Complete Pack (with cs1.6 also) so I can play with friends and stuff. But I have so many damned FPSs installed on my computer, is there really enough different about it to warrant me buying it? I currently have: AA TF2 HL2:DM DoD Red Orchestra BF2 SW:BF II
And a bunch of other HL2 mods.
Worth the 30$? Or should I just find something else on steam to use my money on?
Well that depends on how much you enjoy shooters, and the gametype.
CSS is roundbases, which can be frustrating if you're used to TDM games. It's a good game though, I like CS 1.6 better, but you're getting that too.
Personally, I'd buy Postal. I've heard awesome stories about it and it seemed very fun. I don't think Postal is expensive, so you can buy Gary's Mod as well. I played Gary's Mod when it was free, but I believe it costs some money now.

*cough*torrent*crack*cough*cough*
Then you cant play on steam servers.
oh i didnt know that. Anyways the last time I ever bought a game from a store was call of duty 1. And that came out in 2004. I think I`ve saved nearly $100 on games so far

100$? Thats nothing. You must be downloading VERY old games. But ever since I got an email warning from *insert copyright company name here*, I have ceased and desisted. Getting a 20$ with limited usability risking getting a massive lawsuit (okay its not that likely), just isn't worth it, as I could definitely not afford a lawsuit.

anyways OT: yea get the complete pack, 30 bucks on steam ain't much of a problem.
Css is the the best somewhat modern graphic game to play on pc. I bought Cod4, tf2, and dod:s but always come back to CSS. There are many ways to play Counter-strike source without buying it. I played it for a few months on no steam servers(had a friend who ran a really nice cracked public server) and had a blast. Tho the cracked scene is very limited. With the real game you can find thousands more servers with better mods/maps/players. If you just want to test the game out like I did then go to http://forum.digitalpowered.info/ and download the standalone CSS and patch it with the http://css.setti.info/ cracked server list. If you like it, then buy it. If you do not, then pass. In the end, I bought it cause I liked it that much. It's pretty fun when you get to understand it.

not old, my computer just cant handle the games that are selling for $60 today.
how did you get an email warning from a company? its almost impossible for companies to track downloaders. The people that are in the most danger are the uploaders and the crackers.

I once got warned by Comcast that I was downloading an illegal movie once.
Yeah, happened to me 2. I was warned that I was downloaded copyrighted material illegally :O You guys have to think what is more expensive: a lawsuit from the owner or whatever, or the game or movie itself... even though the chances that you will get caught are not very high there is always the possibility... They CAN track you down!

DoD : S is worth it actually. Played it since the HL1 days always loved it. And now DoD : S got the TF2 style achievements and the updated HL2 Orange engine it's brilliant. You do need a good pub / home server tho so it stays attractive.
